You will love the character of this historic, Craftsman style home built in 1916. It is truly a treasure on a beautiful tree lined street in the heart of Colorado Springs. Our hope is for you to have the most relaxing stay possible. Parking & Entry There is one off-street parking spot in the driveway and plenty of free street parking right in front of the home. Enjoy keyless entry, and a mudroom with hooks for your coats and a bench by the door for removing shoes as you prepare to be comfortable! Living & Dining The living room is spacious and graced with natural light courtesy of a gorgeous bay window with a view of Pikes Peak! Relax on the large, wrap around leather couch while streaming your favorite shows on the Roku TVs. Curl up in the comfy chair in the reading nook, or stretch out on the built in bench under the bay window to soak up some vitamin D while reading a book from the shelf. There are games in the TV stand for you to enjoy, and you will find essentials like iron and ironing board, broom and dustpan, mop and bucket, extra handers, and even a couple umbrellas for the occasional Colorado sprinkle in the living room closet. There are radiators and electric baseboards for heat, and a seasonally installed portable AC unit for cooling the home during the warmer months. Kitchen The kitchen is stocked with all the tools and utensils you will need to make some delicious meals (or just coffee!) during your stay. There is a stainless fridge, electric oven and range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, chef-style waffle maker, mixer, and a garbage disposal. There is a Keurig coffee maker, and coffee geeks will love that we also have a Chemex manual pourover coffee maker, bean grinder, scale, and a kettle with built in thermometer. We provide k-cups, whole bean coffee, creamer, sugar, sugar-free sweetener, and tea. There are pots, pans, bakeware, knives, cutting boards, measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, strainers, a masher, cheese grater, peeler, tongs, and wine, bottle, and can openers. We have plates, bowls, cups, and silverware for you and also your little ones! Bedrooms There are 2 bedrooms in the home, the master is on the main floor and includes glass paned French doors with access to the back patio, and a loft bedroom upstairs with a cozy movie room. Please note, the upstairs loft has a low ceiling which may not be suitable for taller folks. Enjoy brand new, comfortable queen size beds, plenty of pillows, high quality bedding, and we provide fresh linens for your comfort. There are side tables, lamps, and device chargers. The master bedroom has a dresser, ample closet space, plenty of hangers, and a luggage rack. The upstairs bedroom has an attached movie loft with comfortable lounge furniture and extra throw blankets for cozying up while enjoying a flick! Bathroom The sparkling clean bathroom features a brightly lit vanity and a full-size tub with shower, luxurious rainfall style shower head, and tile surround. We provide fresh towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and make up cloths as well as spa quality shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, hand soap, and lotion. There is a hair dryer, and we also provide cotton balls, cotton swabs, and a few extra rolls of toilet paper. Children We have a variety of childrens; items such as a pack n play, highchair, baby monitor, baby bath, stroller, and a baby gate. There are kid’s plates, cups, and silverware, and even a basket of kid’s toys for your little ones! Laundry There is a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and we provide a few complimentary laundry pods. Safety We have a fire extinguisher and first aid kit for your safety. Outdoors The front porch of the home has a comfortable couch which is the perfect place to sip your morning coffee while enjoying beautiful mountain views! There is also a back patio with original brick wall, string lights, a grill, a smokeless wood-burning firepit and chairs for relaxing. Colorado Springs License: STR-1360 Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the home including a private fenced in patio with fire pit and grill. The home is located in a quiet, desirable downtown neighborhood and is walkable to a popular local coffee shop and a park. There is parking for one in the driveway. Street parking is plentiful, nearby and free. Other things to note There are a few things to know about our Historic 1916 Craftsman... ★ The stairs to the second floor are a bit steep and uneven. ★ The upstairs bedroom and movie room are limited in height. ★ There is no central air conditioning. We do have a portable air conditioner, and we always encourage our guests to open the windows and enjoy the fresh Colorado breeze! Additional fees: We have put so much work into making your stay perfect, and we value the time we have between guests to prepare for future guests. Please note that there are minimal fees for guaranteed early check ins or late check outs to cover the expenses of reworking the schedule or adding an additional cleaner to the schedule to accommodate your request. Please message us ahead of time for pricing. Smoking in accordance with Colorado law is permitted outside on the patio. There is no smoking anything (tobacco, marijuana, vaping) inside the home - loss of security deposit will occur.
