Casa GANDARIÑA: A dream overlooking the sea.

Galician stone manor house, 3,500 m2 of beautiful garden and spectacular ocean views. In a village in O'Grove, surrounded by countryside, sea and vineyards, so you can enjoy rest in privacy, pool, beaches, mountains, walks and great food. The house is registered with the Xunta de Galicia, in the Registry of Companies and Tourist Activities, as a Tourist Housing, with the code TU986D RITGA-E-2017-003150. The space The house is located five minutes from O'Grove, in Reboredo, halfway to San Vicente del Mar, in a place called Gandariña that gives its name to the house, from which you can enjoy spectacular views of the Arosa estuary. A well-kept garden, with many corners to discover, with trees (magnolias, palm trees, camellias, coconut trees, carob trees, etc.) enclosed by stone walls that provide privacy. The house can accommodate 12 people. See details in the section: "Other highlights". The saltwater pool (11x7), overflowing and facing the sea, completes the feeling of relaxation and total calm. A beautiful setting, a very quiet village, with old stone houses, reminiscent of Celtic buildings, and protected by National Heritage. For us, for all that: "A green dream resting in the sea". Very close to the viewpoint of Mount Siradella, from which we can see the Cies, Ons and Salvora Islands, and the tip of Aguiño, if we look towards the sea. If we do it inland, separated by the isthmus of La Lanzada, we see the Ría de Arosa, in the so-called "Umia-O'Grove intertidal complex", with the Isla de la Toja, Cambados, Villanueva de Arosa, La Isla de Arosa, and to the north, the villages of the coast of Coruña; Boiro, Rianxo, Poba do Caramiñal, Ribeira, to finish again, at the tip of Aguiño. Golf fans have two different courses, La Toja Golf 4.5 km away, all surrounded by the sea, and 35 km away, Golf Meis, at the top of Mount Armenteira, from which you can see the two rivers (Arosa and Pontevedra). Scuba diving, catamaran, surfing on La Lanzada beach, kitesurfing on Mexiloeira beach, very close to the house, hiking, water routes, bicycle routes, are other sports that can be practiced. See: (HIDDEN URL) Boat trips on the estuary show us the "bateas" and explain how mussels and other species (scallops, oysters, etc.) are raised. You can also take countless excursions inland, along the Umia River, the "da pedra e da agua" route, the mills, etc., as well as horseback riding. Another proposal is to visit Santiago de Compostela, which is 90 km away on the AP9 highway. A closer alternative is Pontevedra, which is 45 km away, and is a beautiful city, especially the old part, very nice and quiet, with plenty to see and some places to eat or snack, really recommended. We recommend Pontevedra, because although it is a great unknown, it is close and worth visiting. You can go along the coastal road and take the opportunity to visit; Combarro, Portonovo, Xanxenxo, or the Monastery of San Juan de Poio, elevated above the Ría de Pontevedra O'Grove is part of the municipalities that make up the Salnes Valley, where the best "albariño" wine is harvested. Visits to the wineries in that area, with tastings, and why not, purchases of some bottles of wine, spirits and liqueurs, is another fantastic plan. See: (HIDDEN URL) The three spas in La Toja are another highly recommended relaxation option. The Grand Hotel, the Louxo and the Balneario hotel. And we can't forget, being in O'Grove, the cuisine. The best seafood and fish can be tasted in all the restaurants and taverns in that town. Outstanding; Solaina and D'Berto, for the careful quality and presentation. Special mention to one of the best restaurants in Galicia: Culler de Pau, which is located in Reboredo just 300 meters from our house. Finally, the Quico bakery, on the main street of O'Grove, a spectacular puff pastry and all kinds of cakes. These are our recommendations, to have an unforgettable experience, in which we "recharge our batteries" and definitely fall in love with Galicia. Guest access The ground floor consists of a hall, kitchen, dining room, living room, guest toilet, gallery, living room and a bedroom with bathroom inside. The upper floor has five bedrooms, the first en suite with a distributor that gives access to the bathroom, the bedroom and attached to this a covered terrace in which there is a small living room with TV. The other four are distributed in two independent spaces, each of which has a small hall, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The porch has a covered part, with furniture to be comfortably seated and enjoy the views of the garden and the estuary, and an uncovered part, with hammocks for sunbathing. The "Chiringuito", as we call it, is the building next to the porch, which we use as an outdoor kitchen service to prepare all kinds of meals. It has a wood oven (1m), barbecue, gas grill, fridge and freezer, with all the necessary dishes and utensils. Garden floor. It is excluded from the rental and access to guests is not allowed. See section: other highlights Other things to note We also have cribs for children up to four years old and extra beds for children up to ten years old. The house has an area to park four or five cars. Keys and door remote will be handed over upon arrival. It is advisable to indicate the number of cars, to provide a remote control for each one, with a maximum of four. Towels are provided, both shower/bath and hand towels, one set for each guest. Beach/pool towels are not provided. Both bedding and towels, for stays longer than a week, will be changed every seven nights. With an additional cleaning fee of €100 per week. The advertised prices are with taxes included. The use of firewood for the fireplace and oven is free of charge. The Garden floor has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living room. It has a price, depending on the season, ranging from €140 to €250 per day and €80 per stay for cleaning. Prior consultation is required. The maximum stay is 30 days.
