The space The Space This characterful guesthouse blends rustic charm with modern comfort. You'll have full, private use of the house and garden throughout your stay. Downstairs – Open Plan Living Lounge: Snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood-burning stove (logs available to purchase), stream your favourite shows on the 50” Samsung Smart TV, or enjoy a quiet night. Featuring high-speed BT Wi-Fi. Here you will find a double sofa bed as well. Kitchen and Dining Area: Fully equipped for home-cooked meals and long, lazy breakfasts. Includes a dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, and all the cookware and utensils you might need. Upstairs – Spacious Bedroom & Bathroom Bedroom: A large, light-filled space with a 5ft brass bed, soft linens, and triple-aspect windows offering beautiful views across the countryside. Bathroom: A newly fitted, contemporary bathroom featuring both a full-size bath and a walk-in shower—perfect for unwinding after a day out. Outdoor Space Step out into your private, enclosed garden, bordered by a sweet picket fence and open countryside views beyond. Stream: A small, peaceful stream runs along the bottom of the garden. Veranda: Covered outdoor seating means you can enjoy the fresh air and views in any weather—ideal for your morning coffee or evening wine. Parking: Private parking space for two cars just outside your front door for maximum convenience. Whether you're celebrating something special or just need a quiet break, this retreat offers the perfect blend of seclusion, comfort, and countryside charm. Enjoy peaceful walks, cosy nights by the fire, or explore nearby beaches and villages—everything is within easy reach. Location Highlights Situated in Sidbury, a picturesque Saxon village with a friendly local pub, village shop, and historic charm. Just a short drive to Sidmouth and the South West Coastal Path and the stunning Jurassic Coast. Surrounded by rolling countryside, ideal for walks, picnics, or simply doing nothing at all. Guest access You’ll have full, private access to the entire guesthouse and garden throughout your stay. Check-in is completely self-service for your convenience. You'll find the key and gate fob in a secure lockbox located just to the side of the main front gates. Detailed instructions and the code for the lockbox will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Once inside, you're free to come and go as you please—it's your home away from home. The property is entirely self-contained, so you’ll enjoy total privacy during your stay. Other things to note 🐾 Dog-Friendly Stay We welcome well-behaved dogs, but please note: the garden is enclosed with a charming picket fence that opens toward a stream. While the fence helps define the space, it does not fully secure the area, especially for adventurous pups—so please keep an eye on them near the water. 🌧️ Flood Precaution Although flooding is very rare (it has only occurred 3 times in the past 6 years), we’ve added a “sleeper-style” flood wall around the patio as an extra precaution. In the event of very heavy rain, please refer to the guest information book for simple guidance on what to do—just in case. 🐶 Resident Pets You may spot our Border Collie, Colin, who is extremely friendly but mostly keeps to himself (unless you have a ball!). Our black and white cat, Nellie, is curious and may wander close to say hello. If your dog isn’t cat-friendly, please be mindful in case she’s around.
