Haus Ida is a historic half-timbered house made of clay, stone, and wood – simple, quiet, and close to nature. If you’re not looking for hotel comfort but want to make fires, cook outdoors, sweat in the sauna, and truly experience silence, this is your place. A new kitchen with gas and wood stove, fire pit, tagine, and two cozy wooden bedrooms. A space to unwind, feel, and just be. For those who value simplicity and seek authenticity. The space Our timber-framed house is one of the oldest buildings in Deuna and has been lovingly restored with great attention to detail. Downstairs stays cool if you don’t use the heater or wood stove – staying warm is up to you. A wood stove is available, and we provide firewood. Please bring your own kindling. Heating costs are calculated separately after your stay. For the adventurous, there’s a converted wine barrel that’s perfect for ice bathing – ice and setup are up to you. Upstairs, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms: one with a 140 cm bed, the other with a 180 cm bed. A baby bed can be set up in the larger room upon request – just let us know in advance. In the open kitchen, there’s a pull-out couch where one person – or two, snugly – can sleep comfortably. Haus Ida isn’t about spotless hotel luxury, but about nature, simplicity, and real experiences. Guest access You have access to the ground floor and first floor as well as the garden. Other things to note Dear guests, those interested can buy fresh farm eggs for €3.50 and homemade sausage from the neighboring family, the Rabes, right next door. Eichsfeld is known for its meat delicacies, and we have seen some vegetarians make exceptions here.. there is no supermarket in town, the next one is a 13 min car drive away. The bakery wagen stops every Wednesday in front of the house, weekends can be arranged too. They even sell gluten free heart bread and other more traditional specialties. The ice cream wagon stops twice a week right in front of the house in summer only ☀️🍦which is a real highlight. Adjacent to our house, you'll find a playground, perfect for families and children to enjoy. Additionally, a picturesque lake is just a 15-minute walk away, offering a serene setting for leisurely strolls, picnics, or simply unwinding in nature.
