The authentic fishing village of Nazare, with its cobbled streets, expansive beach, harbour, water park, numerous bars and restaurants, its amazing seafood dining, the laid back friendly villagers and the fisher women wearing their 7 skirts, offers a great holiday destination with traditional Portuguese charm. Terra Nova is a modern west facing villa, situated upon the historical cliff village of Sitio (part of Nazaré), that offers wonderful views over a nature reserve and the Atlantic Ocean. The villa has an accomodation up to 8 persons and is located on a calm and quite "dead end" street with plenty of parking space. The bright living area and dinning room offers inside/outside living with an open plan lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The living area has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open out to a terrace deck and private swimming pool. The house has 4 bedrooms who all have floor to ceiling sliding doors that open out on to a seperate balcony. One off the bedrooms is equipped with extra single bed and extra highsleeper. Many combinations are possible. The house has 3 bathrooms. Two off them are located on second floor, another one is located on the first floor. All bathrooms contain a shower, a toilet and lavatory. Sheets and housetowels are provided. The terrace on the roof offers every evening an amazing sunset and is a unique breakfast spot. Terra Nova is equipped with WIFI. The TV is connected to a Portuguese decoder but also equipped with a G oogle Chromecast so that streaming can be done via your apps as well You can sleep with open windows and enjoy a beautiful starry sky The waves can easily be heard. The region is the perfect spot for water sport, bodyboarding, skimboarding and surfing enthusiasts. Nazare is near to the beautiful beaches of Salgado, Vale furado , San Martinho de Porto and many more. The villa is located near the beach ‘Praia do norte’ famous for his ‘biggest wave ever surfed (100ft). There is a water entertainment park with slides and swimming pools on a 5 min. walk from the villa. Having a car is not mandatory but recommended to explore the full potential of the amazing stretch of the Atlantic Coast or to explore the outback of Mid-Portugal. There are countless places to visit and enjoy around the surrounding areas of Nazaré, such as Sitio itself with his main square and wonderfull church, its bars and restaurants, his working bull ring with spectacular events every week during the summer The main town of Nazare is within walking distance or an unmissable experience is a ride on the 'Ascensor' funicular railway that operates between Sitio and Nazaré. The city and the Monastery of Alcobaça (15 km), one of the most magnificent gothic monuments in the country. A few kilometers to the north of Alcobaça is the Monastery of Batalha, another gothic building constructed in memory of a different important battle, that of Aljubarrota. Leiria (33 km) with his Main square, his shops and Castle. The world famous pilgrimage Fatima (55 km). The medieval town of Óbidos, a national monument is just 30 minutes by car. The peace and quiet there is appreciated and respected by local residents. Parties are therefore not allowed. Please respect the peace and quiet after 10pm. This is a non smoking property.
