Located in the Château Lamothe building in Sauternes, on our wine property, the Castèl de Lamothe offers an exceptional view of the vineyard and the Ciron valley. On 200 m2, discover a large living space under an exposed 18th century frame, with an open kitchen, a large dining-living room, a billiard table, a foosball table, a south-facing terrace and a secure swimming pool, 4 bedrooms each with a bathroom, and in the tower... a round bed! The space The Castèl de Lamothe offers a castle atmosphere combining modern comfort with antique furniture in an exceptional setting, high up, amid vineyards. The views are breathtaking. Its south-facing orientation allows you to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. At your disposal, a south-facing pool, many games: board games, card games, petanque balls, a molkky, a foosball table, a pool table for the little ones, a pool table for the big ones. The hospitality is family-oriented. A tour of the wine property, with tasting will be offered! The cottage is equipped for cooking, with all the utensils, a food processor, two fridges, a gas grill, a Weber barbecue, a Delonghi bean coffee machine.... The sleeping area, separated by a large wooden door, is composed of two shared toilets, and four bedrooms with new bedding each with an en-suite bathroom. It is composed of: - Bedroom 1: One bedroom equipped with a queen bed and a 110×190 convertible sofa with its bathroom with private shower. - Bedroom 2: One bedroom with 4 90 cabins and a shower room with private shower. - Bedroom 3: One bedroom equipped with a 160cm bed, with its private bathroom with bathtub. - Bedroom 4: A bedroom equipped with an old bed 140cm with its private bathroom with walk-in shower. 2 extra beds for 2 people in the tower and living room: - In the living room, a sofa bed offers a comfortable extra bed for two people of 140cm. - In the tower of the Castle you will find a small space with a round bed 210cm for two people. The cottage is equipped with wifi, central heating with a new boiler. In winter, the heating is soft, and uniform in the 200m2. The very thick old stone walls are naturally cool in summer. Baby equipment available: crib and mattress, highchair, baby bath. Sheets, towels and tea towels are provided and your bed is made upon arrival. Pool towels should be brought. Le Castèl de Lamothe has many relaxing areas: - outside on wooden tables in the shade of the large franc pine. - Around the pool in the many sunbeds and sunbeds. - inside the cool patio in the summer to get out of the world. - inside at the top of Lamothe's round tower. - Fortin Merovingien, a shared space, is also a walking area. Guest access Access is by car, 10 minutes from the highway exit or Langon train station. In Sauternes, you will find restaurants, an open-air café in summer, an ArtKafé, a bakery and a pharmacy. To go for "big" shopping, a car is essential. Walking or cycling tours are possible in the municipality of Sauternes. Other things to note The Castèl de Lamothe is located within the Chateau Lamothe Despujols vineyard in Sauternes. The view of the valley and vineyards is breathtaking. Sometimes we have to work in the vineyards several dozen meters from the cottage or possibly pass by in a tractor. Of course, we will communicate our activities to you and, if necessary, we will coordinate our visit together.
