Private Entry Own Bathroom (Room 1) West End

Description

This B-listed townhouse annexe has its own entrance, private bathroom. It is fresh, clean, uncluttered, well equipped and cosy. Located in a great spot, with the Botanic Gardens, University of Glasgow, Byres Road, Great Western Road, Hillhead subway etc. within easy walking distance. The area is quiet and leafy yet minutes from all the lovely bars and restaurants of the west end. NB: IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES PLEASE CHECK DETAILS CAREFULLY SINCE THERE ARE STEEP STEPS TO ACCESS THE PROPERTY. The space Room 1 has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a comfortable king size double bed (the room is suitable for 2 people: NOT SUITABLE FOR INFANTS/YOUNG CHILDREN) and a well appointed bathroom. There is facility to prepare simple food (a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle and a range of tableware: plates, bowls, cups etc.) and to entertain yourself (TV for streaming Amazon; Netflix IPlayer etc - but no aerial TV). A desk is there should you wish to work. Access to washer/dryer is available by paid arrangement. You can also use the rear garden (shared with owners and other guests). We look forward to welcoming you. There is another self-contained Airbnb room adjacent to this so you may see other guests in the communal garden area from time to time. You may also hear some noise from cleaning after 11am. Guest access Entry is via the back lane access (cobbled, uneven and uphill) that leads to the back gate of the property. You come through the back garden and down some NARROW STEEP steps (see photographs) to access your own private entrance to the room: access room 1 through the red basement back door. If travelling with heavy oversize luggage you may find it difficult. PLEASE NOTE THIS ACCESS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES. Parking: There is no free parking outside the property. It is metered or Resident permit 8am- 6pm Mon-Sat. It is free 6pm-8am Mon-Sat and all day Sunday. However, there are still streets where it’s free and safe to park around a 10 minute walk away. (There’s no guarantee you will find a spot but depending on the time of day, there’s a good chance of finding one). Ford road is one such place, right by the gate to the Botanic Gardens, making it a pleasant walk back through the gardens. If guests wish to pay at the meter to park outside the property, the tariff is 20p for every 15 minutes for the first hour then 40p for every 15 minutes thereafter (8am-6pm Mon-Sat). There is a car park nearby City Parking at Lilybank gardens where it costs £4/2 hours. Your bedroom and private bathroom is located in the basement. It is fully self contained and private. There is another self-contained Airbnb room adjacent to this so you may see other guests in the communal garden area from time to time. The rest of the flat is occupied by myself, my husband, and our son. Other things to note Please note that the room is part of a larger flat. There is separation and privacy with a wall and door but there may be some noise from time to time from the house. We can arrange to do laundry by arrangement (for a fee).
