Description
Seaview is a renovated three bedroom federation home with an architecturally designed extension in central Hobart. The house is spacious and surrounded by verandahs. It has stunning views of Mount Wellington, the city of Hobart and beyond to the Derwent River. It is a seven minute drive to the waterfront, Salamanca or North Hobart. Seaview has been thoughtfully styled with a mix of antique and modern furniture to blend the federation home and Japanese inspired extension. It is a unique property. The space ** AS FEATURED IN NYA RUM (SWEDEN), THE DESIGN FILES (AUSTRALIA), GOURMET TRAVELLER (AUSTRALIA), HOUSE & GARDEN (AUSTRALIA) AND HOMES & GARDENS (UK) ** Seaview joins a classic federation home with a Japanese inspired architecturally designed extension, located over a single level, to create a beautiful and generous space to relax in Hobart. The home has been thoughtfully styled throughout and includes individual pieces sourced from Tasmania and further afield. There are three spacious bedrooms all with king sized beds, luxurious linen sheets, electric blankets and cosy doonas. Attached to the master bedroom is an ensuite with under floor heating. The Japanese inspired extension features exposed Tasmanian timbers and curving celery top ceilings. It includes an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with a wood fire. It is surrounded by windows and wooden Japanese style verandahs. There is also a bathroom with both a shower and a bath, and a laundry. There is a fully functioning kitchen if you feel like cooking, including staples such as olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee etc. The extension is seamlessly joined to the original federation home. This part of the house has a wide central hallway, three spacious bedrooms and a moody lounge room, perfect for enjoying a Tasmanian whiskey. The federation half of the house is surrounded by bull nose verandahs and there are many quiet corners to curl up and enjoy a good book. The entire home has ducted heating and cooling. There is also a wood fire. You are guaranteed to be cosy and warm. There is high speed internet, ultra high definition TV, Netflix and a blue tooth wireless sound system. Seaview is located on the edge of the Queens Domain, which is an extensive area of urban park and native bushland incorporating trails for runners, walkers and cyclists. It is a fifteen minute stroll from Seaview though the Queens Domain to The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. **If you are considering Seaview as an Intimate Wedding/Elopement location or a Pre-Wedding preparation location please get in touch prior to booking. Please be aware that we do not allow professionals at Seaview, such as hair stylists, makeup artists, photographers, celebrants etc. without prior consent** Guest access Seaview can comfortably cater for up to six guests. Our base price is for one bedroom. Each bedroom caters for a maximum of two, and our prices assume two guests will share a bedroom. For a single guest to have a bedroom to themselves the number of guests will need to increase when booking. Please refer to explanation below. - To use one bedroom, book for one to two guests. - To use two bedrooms, book for three to four guests. - To use all three bedrooms, book for five to six guests. You will have the entire house to yourselves, but we ask that you please stay in the same bedroom. We have a 2 night minimum stay. The house can be accessed via a secure lock box, we will give you the code prior to your arrival. There is ample off street parking at the front of the house. Other things to note Unfortunately Seaview is not suitable for young children or pets as there are many delicate pieces within reach of small hands and paws.
