Streckhof Frauenkirchen is a family-friendly, 150 year old farmhouse 10 min from Neusiedlersee & 55 min from Vienna. Our home has air conditioning & a wood burning fireplace. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, & a large kitchen/living area, & room for 8 guests. There is an outdoor eating & lounge area, and an extensive garden play area. Wooden play gym in the kids’ room so kids can play no matter the weather. Parking in front of the house, & a direct train connection to Vienna. The space Guests will have the whole house (160 m2) & private garden (1000 m2) to themselves. The home is all single level, except for the two stairs from the kitchen/dining area into the living area. Two bedrooms have king-sized beds (180x200), and the third bedroom has two bunkbeds. Every room has room-darkening shades or exterior blinds, as well as one window with a screen (“Fliegengitter”). Parents will love our indoor Kidwood play gym (ages 0-6), fenced-in garden, climbing tree, tree fort, climbing gym, and trampoline with safety net. Stroll to nearby farmers stands open year-round, world famous vineyards like Umathum, the UNESCO-listed Basilica across the street, or the beautiful lavender fields of local business Steppenduft. Guest access Dedicated parking space directly in front of gate to the house, & additional parking on the street or church parking lot. Other things to note Our minimum stay is two nights, and a week in summer. Streckhof Frauenkirchen has air conditioning in every bedroom & in the kitchen/living room. If you don’t like A/C, our home’s thick, 150-year-old walls and new, double-paned windows & doors also keep the home cool in warmer months. During summer, we advise keeping windows & doors closed during the day to keep heat out. For those with mobility issues or crawling babies, please note: there are two stairs from the kitchen/dining area into the living room. Having a car to visit local sites is recommended, but not essential. There is a direct train connection from Vienna, & the train station is a twelve minute walk from the house. “Next Bike” bicycle rental across the street, or bike delivery can be arranged from operators in Podersdorf or Gols. Burgenland’s flat landscape & ample bike paths are great for bikers of all ages.
