This space (Lunar Outpost) is the larger side of our duplex townhome and will be completely locked off from the other side (which is also available as a studio rental - search for "Martian Outpost"). If you're interested in renting the entire home (both sides), search "Mission Control". Pictures are worth a thousand words—be sure to check them all out and compare them to similar listings! Located in the beautiful Starr Pass Resort area, we call this 1-bedroom modern resort suite the "Lunar Outpost” as artwork throughout the space depicts the Apollo missions to the Moon. Our home features many amenities and upgrades not found in other units in this peaceful area--checkout the photos! Whether you’re visiting for the Gem Show, Rodeo, Golf Tournament, Street Fair, conference at the JW Marriott or just for a vacation or staycation, this is the perfect place to retreat to each night. It is conveniently located for all of the best events Tucson has to offer. Recently renovated (July 2021 & Oct. 2022), this home features granite counters throughout, all new furniture throughout the home, a gas cooktop, a great view of the fairway of the 7th hole of the Arnold Palmer designed premier Roadrunner course with the beautiful JW & Sonoran foothills in the distance (many of the other rentals stare at other homes or parking lots). On a beautiful afternoon, open the double glass sliding doors to the largest patio available of any of the homes in the area and enjoy the crisp air and sounds of the desert. This unit also features a glass sliding door from the master bedroom to the great patio as well; A rare upgrade that allows you to enjoy the outdoors so easily from both the living room and the master bedroom! We often see a beautiful desert wildlife in the surrounding area. Roadrunners, Deer, Javelina and lizards to name a few. They don’t bother anyone; Just be sure to have your camera ready to snap a shot of them when they pass by! The patio is tastefully fenced to ensure that the desert wildlife doesn't interrupt your enjoyment of the space. The patio gate is locked (key is not provided) to prevent children from wandering into the trails access road behind the home. During your stay, enjoy an invigorating hike on nearby maintained trails by day, or hit the tee-box and 18 holes of golf, then relax while streaming a movie on HBO by night. (Note: You will see a pool near the entrance to our community, however it is NOT part of our HOA---it is part of a timeshare complex.) There is no pool available. While staying in this comfortable home, stream your favorite shows and movies on the included HBO (formerly MAX) (ultimate Ad-Free version!) and FOX ONE (includes many live sporting events) services on any of the three Samsung smart TV's throughout the unit, each equipped with Roku Soundbars. Our premium ad-free HBO Max subscription includes HBO, CineMax, HGTV, Discovery, Magnolia Network, DC Movies, Food Network, Cartoon Network, TCM, TLC, Travel Channel, Adult Swim and ID. You have access to all of them! FOX ONE gains you access to many live NFL, MBL, NHL + more events as well as popular shows and on-demand playback. Other apps are loaded on the Roku for guests to login to their own accounts if they wish. This suite is located within the Starr Pass resort community and is situated only 1 mile to the JW Marriott hotel, 4 miles to the I-10, 6.5 miles to UofA, and just 12 miles to Tucson airport. You can find cheaper rentals, however, this unit is unique with it's extra large patio and master-sliding glass patio access, modernized, and offers a beautiful resort feel without all those nasty resort fees and ad-ons. I like all-inclusive and no surprises; I bet you do too! This unique vacation rental gives you the get-away-from-it-all experience while still having all your conveniences close by. Parking is FREE and close to the unit—just far enough away that you don’t hear people coming and going, yet close enough that carrying in groceries and suitcases is easy—it’s perfect. You also have your own private stacked, large capacity washer/dryer combo located inside the unit. Perhaps best of all, whether you visit in the winter, summer, spring or fall, the full-suite air conditioning and heating with auto thermostats will keep you comfortable throughout the entire home. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: While it’s located within our community, the nearby pool and gym facility is privately owned and under new management. They have eliminated a previous decades-long courtesy of allowing guests of private casita owners who are paid members of the club (such as us) to access the facilities.  As such, access to the nearby pool/jacuzzi/gym is no longer included with any of our listings or any other privately owned units.  Be aware that any golf casitas advertising pool access are timeshare units managed by a big timeshare company. Our casita is 100% privately owned and not a part of the timeshare company--there's no awkward sales pitches with our unit, we promise! :) We're not property managers or real estate agents. This is our second home and we allow guests to stay in it while we are away. There are 3 security cameras located at this home. ALL of them are outdoors and only view outdoor areas. One camera is located in the front front porch and views the entire entry patio and front doors. The other two cameras are located outside on the back of the home and view activity on the back patio and landscaped grounds surrounding the patio. These three cameras are primarily for us to monitor the property exterior when guests or ourselves are not present, and their activity is recorded 24/7. Booking this unit is consent to their presence and operation and is an agreement not to cover, alter, or block their view or disconnect them from power or internet. The closet in the master bedroom is locked off. We keep our personal clothes in there to allow guests full use of the large dresser. There is plenty of room in the unit to store suit cases. This home is smoke and pet-free. Any guest that brings a pet into the home risks forfeiting their stay (e.g. your booking may be cancelled immediately, forfeiting the remainder of your stay). Evidence of smoking indoors, verified by a 3rd party, or bringing an unauthorized pet into the home (verified by cameras) will result in an additional cleaning fee (on top of the standard home cleaning fee) of up to $350 as permitted by Airbnb due to violation of these terms. All evidence will be forwarded to Airbnb for documentation in the guests' profile. Further, appropriate feedback will be left to warn future hosts. It's not worth it. Note that "emotional support animals" (ESA's) are considered pets, and not trained service animals under the ADA and Airbnb policies. If you have a legitimate service animal, we welcome you, and would appreciate you having the courtesy to contact us in advance. The home, while recently renovated, may undergo decorative updates from time to time. Photos will be updated upon completion of any updates, however the home theme and appearance may, from time to time, evolve between the time a guest books and stays. Any changes other than cosmetic, such as changes that would impact guest experience will be advised to guests as soon as possible. This rental is fully licensed & insured as a legal vacation rental and is registered with the Arizona Dept. of Revenue. Our Arizona Transaction Privilege and Use Tax License is #21371742. Guest access Guests have access to the entire unit and patio. The only exceptions (locked off) are the closet in the bedroom, a storage closet next to the front door (cleaner's supplies) and the patio storage closet. There's also a connecting solid-core door to the other half of the duplex that is secured (locked) from both sides and has had Dynamat sound insulation installed on both sides of it along with sound absorbing/dampening panels on top of that, and also has a door jam boot for maximum privacy. Lastly, there's a gate on the back patio to the desert backyard and beyond that is locked to prevent children from wandering and entering a nearby road that has occasional vehicular traffic going to the Starr Pass trailhead. Other things to note While we were all new to Airbnb at one point and started with no feedback, for Airbnb request from travelers who have 0 feedback, please be sure to take a moment to complete your user profile—the more thorough, the better. Guest requesting to stay who can't be responsible and take a moment to complete their profile may be declined. Remember, this is our home, we’re not a hotel so we want to know about and feel comfortable with who we are opening our doors to just as you would if you were renting your home to people whom you've never met.
