Description

Enjoy panoramic city and mountain views from two balconies in our beautifully renovated apartment on a high floor of a secure doorman building in Santiago Centro. The design-forward space offers rare, convenient access to an assigned parking space in the building's garage. Located on a semi-pedestrian street, the building has excellent connectivity, just half a block from Santa Lucia metro station, with its nearby park and gardens. The neighborhood is also ideal for exploring on foot. The space When we purchased the apartment, we fell in love with the vistas from the two balconies. From the living room balcony, our guests are treated to a fantastic west view of historic downtown Santiago Centro. From the bedroom balcony the views are toward the majestic Andes mountains and the eastern financial district. The apartment has clean design lines, but at the same time is fully furnished and nicely appointed for our guests’ comfort. The decoration includes custom furniture pieces a custom large photo print of the Beaux Art architecture, for which downtown Santiago is famous.. The kitchen is well-equipped, and has granite countertops, a modern glass-top stove, stainless-steel appliances, and a refrigerator/ freezer. For full use of our guests, the kitchen space also has a small dining table, a microwave oven, and a Nespresso machine. The en-suite bathroom has a shower/tub combo, and a marble vanity. The building has good water pressure and a centralized hot water tank, making for an excellent shower. We also provide quality towels and linens. The apartment has a high-end WiFi smart router, attached to a fiber optic modem. As travelers, internet connectivity and speed is paramount, and we made sure to install a high speed connection of 300 Mbps up / 300 Mbps down. We also offer a 43 inch, LG 4K LED television, in the living room. The TV has a digital antenna for HD Chilean TV, with Cast and AirPlay connectivity. The smart tv function also allows for access to apps for Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Apple TV, and more (please note guests must access these apps with their private individual accounts). In the apartment there is a high-quality electric infrared heater with thermostat control, for use during the winter months (approximately June to September). As temperatures can drop to 32-34 Fahrenheit during some winter nights (0-2 Celsius), the heater is an important feature. It is moveable and able to maintain a comfortable and stable temperature in the room where it is placed, and will generally keep the entire apartment warm. Guest access We offer a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment in a modern high-rise residential building. The apartment is exclusively for the primary guest and one additional guest under the same reservation. You will have the entire space to yourself, with no need to share it with anyone else. The bedroom features a large closet available for your full use. Check-in is self-service, facilitated by the building’s 24-hour doorman. The apartment is accessed via a personalized code for the smart lock, eliminating the need for keys. This unique code is programmed specifically for your stay. The building also offers shared amenities, as outlined below, which are available to our guests. BUILDING LOBBY ACCESS The building features a main lobby with a 24-hour doorman desk. Access to this lobby is provided by the doorman on duty, with typically two doormen on duty at all times, ensuring access is never an issue. POOL ACCESS The building features a small plunge pool in its 3rd-floor outdoor courtyard, available as a shared amenity for residents and guests staying at the apartment. It’s a great way to relax and refresh on a summer day, with the pool season typically running from December to March. While Santiago enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate, it does experience all four seasons, and the building management does not open the pool during the cooler months outside of this period. Mondays are maintenance days for the pool, so it is closed on that day. Otherwise, it is typically open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the season. However, the hours may change if the building management needs to perform maintenance. Please note that the building management operates the pool, and we are not responsible if it is closed for unscheduled maintenance, though they are usually diligent about keeping it open during the season. If the pool amenity is crucial for your stay, feel free to reach out before making your reservation, and we can confirm its availability for you. BUILDING SELF-SERVICE LAUNDRY The building has a self-service, coin-operated laundromat. This laundry room features several modern commercial washers and dryers, available for use by both residents and guests staying in our apartment. Please note that the machines require exact change in 500-peso or 100-peso coins, and you will need to bring your own laundry detergent. Alternatively, you can pay using an app, but please note that the app only works with credit or debit cards issued by Chilean banks. The laundromat is reasonably priced and offers great value. For the latest costs, feel free to reach out to us or check with the doorman during your stay. PARKING The apartment includes one assigned parking space in the building’s underground garage. Other than this one included space, the building does not offer free parking. If you need a second space, please reach out ahead of time, as it is sometimes possible to secure one for an additional cost of 8,000 pesos per night. Other things to note We offer a beautiful and comfortable space to enjoy the heart of Santiago Centro. Please feel most welcome to stay! Our listing is instant booking enabled (for guests with prior positive reviews on the Airbnb platform), and also available through booking requests (for first time Airbnb guests). The space is strictly non-smoking. HOUSE RULES Here is a summary of our main house rules: - Check-in: After 4:00 PM - Checkout: 11:00 AM - Self check-in via smart lock keypad - Not suitable for children and infants - No smoking - No pets - No parties, meetings, or events EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS Subject to availability, and for an additional cost of CLP 5000 pesos, it is possible to request an early check-in starting at 2:00 pm. If you would like this option, please let us know as soon as possible after making the reservation. Otherwise, due to the high demand, it is unlikely we will be able to accommodate last-minute. If you have an international morning flight arrival, and you would also need a morning check-in, it is necessary to book the night prior to your arrival date, as we cannot otherwise guarantee an early check-in LATE CHECKOUT REQUESTS Subject to availability, and for an additional cost of CLP 5000 pesos, it is possible to request a late checkout at 12 noon (at the latest). If you would like this option, please let us know as soon as possible after making the reservation. Otherwise, due to the high demand, it is unlikely we will be able to accommodate last-minute. If you have a late afternoon/evening flight, and would like to depart from the apartment after 12 noon, it is necessary to add an additional night to the reservation. To be able to prepare, clean and sanitize the apartment for the next guest, we do not otherwise have additional flexibility. BAGGAGE STORAGE NOT AVAILABLE Please note, per the policy of the building’s management, the building's doorman is not permitted to store bags. Additionally, to comply with current cleaning protocols, it is not possible to leave your bags with the cleaners prior to check-in, or after checkout. PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER The apartment includes a portable air conditioner, providing a practical way to cool the space on warmer days. Unlike a fixed system such as a split unit, this portable unit is movable, allowing you to place it where it’s needed most. However, please note that it is less efficient than a permanent system and requires a simple setup: the warm air exhaust hose must be securely attached and directed through a slightly open window. We kindly ask you to handle the air conditioner and its exhaust hose with care so that it remains in excellent condition for all our guests. Detailed instructions for setup and use will be available in the house manual, accessible after booking. You’ll also find a QR code in our digital guidebook in the apartment for easy reference. However, on particularly hot days, the portable air conditioner can add extra comfort to your stay.
