Peninsula OH (Permit # 2026-21) is a friendly village in Summit County with a population of 600. It’s conveniently located close to the Cleveland and Akron Metro areas. Our house is located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park which is renowned for cycling and hiking, with countless trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Bicycles can be rented a mere 1/2 mile away. We welcome visitors from all walks of life. The space Peninsula is a quaint village in Northern Summit County, Ohio, United States with a population of 600 and is part of the Cleveland - Akron Metropolitan Area. Located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Peninsula has many hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Cycling is extremely popular here, with bike rentals (Century Cycle) 1/2 mile away for those who prefer to travel without their bikes. The Blossom Music Center is conveniently located on its outskirts. The Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail runs through the village just west of downtown, and many cyclists and hikers stop for refreshments as it's the midway point between Akron and Cleveland. There are two restaurants in the village (Fisher’s Café and The Winking Lizard) within walking distance which serves well the needs of the most distinguished beer aficionados. The quaint city of Hudson is 5 miles away with numerous restaurants, shops and bars. Our air-conditioned guest house is a two-story home, which may be difficult for those who have issues with stairs (bedrooms and bath are on the second floor). It has a fully-equipped kitchen including many small appliances as well as laundry facilities. We are located on the Cuyahoga River well off the street in an area that is full of wildlife, notably deer and a large variety of birds. Amish Country with its peaceful and pastoral views as well as tourist areas, can be reached in about 40 minutes. Other things to note The home can accept up to 4 guests. There is local information available in the house handbook which includes trail maps. A washer and dryer are available for use. Soap and dryer sheets are not provided. There are outdoor security cameras on the property
