The stone & wood cottage nestles in a wild garden, the bay, beach and village just a kilometer away. The previous owner, a bachelor in his day, used to entertain girl-friends here – and romance still rules in the one-roomed stone cottage, where the mezzanine bedroom has mountain and sea views. The space The cottage is on its own secluded property, with its private access. The wild garden extends across to our own property and has no boundaries. That’s also where you’ll find the secluded swimming pool to enjoy. A perfect place for nature lovers, with indoor-outdoor living in quiet surroundings overlooking an indigenous garden filled with birds. - The mezzanine bedroom which opens onto an entertainment deck, comes with a king size extra length bed and white linen. - The open kitchenette is fully equipped with a convection microwave, stove top, fridge and small kitchen essentials. - The quirky stone bathroom has a walk-in shower & toilet. It is not on the same level as the mezzanine bedroom. - The patio has its own Weber BBQ. - Bed linen and bath towels are changed weekly when the cottage is serviced. - The cottage is covered by Wi-Fi and has DSTV cable. Guest access Guests can explore the indigenous garden, and have shared access to the secluded spring-water filled swimming pool. Beach towels are supplied. - The cottage is on its own property with an automated gate and secure parking. Other things to note No wheelchair access. No children under the age of 2yo. Not suitable for toddlers. Not suitable for elderly. Access to the mezzanine bedroom is by cabin-like stairs. The bedroom and the bathroom are not on the same level. Please do look at the photos to have a better understanding. Hout Bay has limited Uber services and no transport system. It is advisable to arrange a car rental to explore the surrounding scenic drives, vineyards, beaches and villages. A list of pre-booked transfer and tour driver operators can be supplied.
