Description
A large king room at a small, family-run Inn on the west bay of Traverse City. Our location on M22 puts you that much closer to the Leelanau peninsula while remaining a 5-10 minute drive from downtown. Want to watch the sunrise on a private beach? Grill out for lunch and dinner? A midnight swim in Lake Michigan? Come stay at the vintage Anchor Inn and feel free to use our sauna, kayaks, firepits, beach chairs, firewood, charcoal grills, playground, cornhole, e-bike rentals, and much more! The space Newly appointed room with all new king mattress, linens & pull out sofa bed. There is a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. And the room is restocked daily with coffee, tea, and toiletries. We’ve been busy making updates to this 1940’s motel since February 2021, and working to implement more sustainable business practices. The rustic nature of Anchor Inn is part of its charm, but it’s not for everyone. The doors are tricky, the 80 year old windows are far from energy efficient, and the cedar trees provide a constant cool dampness. The size of our tight bathrooms hasn't changed since the 40s. We decorate the rooms with vintage & antique finds and enjoy creating what we hope is a cozy atmosphere for your ‘up north’ escape. Why do people stay here? To feel like they’re back at the family cottage. A place that’s all yours to play, relax and explore. - You’re treated like a houseguest, not a tourist - Character filled rooms that embrace the inn’s historic charm - Walk out your door and across the street to the lake - All beach chairs, kayaks, charcoal, s’mores sticks & firewood are included in your stay - Recommendations - we scout out the best local food and help plan your daily activities. Just ask if you need help planning! We hope you’ll consider staying with us for your next ‘up north’ escape!
