"Le Château de Mirande" Gîte

This cottage is located in the very historic heart of the Château de Mirande estate. Located in southern Burgundy, famous for its Mâconnais wines and close to Beaujolais, the Château de Mirande offers you everything for a successful stay. In addition to the spacious rooms, the cottage includes a fully equipped family kitchen open to a large dining room, a cozy living room, a private terrace, and of course, access to a large swimming pool, hammam, tennis or petanque court, summer kitchen (barbecue and pizza oven) and large park. Located in southern Burgundy with its famous Mâconnais and Beaujolais wines nearby, the Château de Mirande offers you everything for a successful stay: On the property itself, you will have a heated swimming pool (15 x 7 m), a tennis court, a petanque court, a hammam and mountain bikes. In the cottage itself, you can also enjoy our grand piano, minibar, and a desk where you can retreat if work calls. In the surrounding area, you will find multiple opportunities for wine tasting, good restaurants including several starred, markets, two golf courses, various activities on the Saône (water skiing, boat rental, boat trips, canoeing or kayaking) and horseback riding centers. Between Mâcon and Tournus, the "voie bleue" offers you an ideal setting for cycling. Finally, a few minutes' drive away, you will find the already Mediterranean city of Mâcon and that of Tournus with its impressive abbey in the historic center. Cluny, Beaune and Bourg-en-Bresse are also within walking distance, and will reveal the rich history of our region. DEBUSSY ROOM Elegant room, painted in a beautiful shade of yellow, full of warmth and calm, with its two large windows overlooking the garden. On the first floor of the Castle, this large room (30 m²) has magnificent views of the park, pond, fields and surrounding vineyards. The Debussy room is furnished with antique and refined furniture, and it combines charm and comfort. Its private bathroom, overlooking the cloister, includes a shower and a bathtub. MOZART ROOM This bright room, crossed by waves of light with its 3 windows overlooking both the garden and the courtyard, is pastel blue, both fresh and balanced. On the first floor of the Château, the large room (30 m²) offers a dream view of the park, the characteristic tower of the Château and the pool. The special feature of the Mozart Room is its incredible century-old parquet flooring, renovated with the utmost care, as well as its antique and elegant furniture. A cozy room overflowing with privacy and comfort. Its bathroom includes a large walk-in shower. THE VERDI ROOM A room open to the courtyard of the Castle and its iconic tower, which reflects the colors of the park and the flora of the Domaine de Mirande. On the first mezzanine of the Château, the large room (28 m²) offers a real cocoon, with its sofa and antique furniture, in a range of warm purples. The Verdi room is equipped with antique furniture and combines charm and comfort. Its bathroom includes a shower and a spacious bathtub, and overlooks the cloister. NB: for an extra charge, the Verdi room can become the Verdi suite, with a small adjoining private room, ideal for parents and their young children. VIVALDI & BEETHOVEN ROOMS The Vivaldi room is a small coquettish room, which comes in baroque shades of purple and gold. Its window overlooks the courtyard of the Château and faces the iconic tower of the estate, and the olive hedge. Its modern furnishings contrast with its old-fashioned and delicate decor. Vivaldi shares its bathroom with the Beethoven room. This bathroom is the most spacious in the castle and features a large walk-in shower with lighting, as well as a large and elegant corner bathtub. The Beethoven Room is a large room with a sleek design. Thanks to its 3 windows overlooking the courtyard and the park, Beethoven is a bright and spacious room, with shades of cobalt blue. Its windows open directly onto the garden's three large Lebanese cedars. Beethoven shares its bathroom with the Vivaldi room. This bathroom is the largest in the castle and features a large walk-in shower with lighting, as well as a large and elegant corner bathtub. Guest access Private parking on the property. Accessible from Macôn-Loché TGV station, direct from Paris 1.5 hours or Lyon 40 minutes. Château de Mirande is located on the A6 highway, between the Tournus no. 27 and Mâcon Nord no. 28 highway exits. Nearest airport: Lyon St-Exupéry.
