This gorgeous west-side home offers 4 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a private yard and patio, and fantastic views! There are high-end appliances, ample parking, and a new washer/dryer. A flat, easy 15 minute walk will take you to downtown Carson restaurants and night life. The home is best for 8 people, but can fit up to 10 people. The managers are on-site in the adjacent studio apartment to assist you with any issues or additional services. NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE HOME The best part about the home is its location, which combines the accessibility to all your vacation explorations and the conveniences of Carson City with the tranquil surroundings of a suburban historical town. It is a 10 minute flat walk to the State Capitol, local restaurants, casinos, Brewery Arts Center, and the Kit Carson Historic Self-Guided Walking Tour. Don’t forget to check out the sign posted over the 395 by the Capitol building for upcoming events because downtown Carson City is known for its local festivals, live music, and the best farmer’s market! Or head out in the other direction for a longer hiking or biking adventure to the beautiful Kings Canyon Waterfall and beyond to the Tahoe Rim Trail or Lake Tahoe. It’s also a central location for other short driving adventures, including a 30-minute drive to the Reno / Tahoe Intl Airport, Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Ski Resort, or historic Virginia City. We live in the adjacent studio apartment which makes us very available for problems, issues, or questions. With that being said, the house and studio apartment are completely separated (different backyard/entrance with only one shared wall) so you will never interact with us unless you want to! Our house is situated in the peaceful neighborhood of Carson City’s West Side. There is currently construction happening behind the yard that will eventually be another wonderful community. The best restaurants, bars, and Carson City's downtown night life are within a 10-15 minute walk. We have ample parking in and outside of our garage. There is also ample street parking as well. The best way to move around Carson City and the Lake Tahoe area is by car or by foot. The closest restaurants, bars, and casinos are only a 15 minute walk away! After booking this home, Chelsea and Rafael can arrange any of the add-on services below. Add-on services should be pre-booked before arrival and are based on availability. • Basic child care - $30/hour for one child; $15/hour for each additional child • Child care “plus” – Chelsea and Rafael both love kids, but they love taking kids on adventures even more. Some of their favorite things are teaching kids how to ski, rock climb, or how to be self-sufficient backpacking in the wilderness. Let us help plan your kids’ adventures to make lifelong memories that will keep them coming back over and over! (Price based on activity and duration.) • Tutoring – Tutoring services are provided by Chelsea based on availability and are $60/hour. Chelsea graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies and a Minor in Education. She is a Masters in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and is teaching in Carson City School District. She prefers to tutor K-8 students because that is her credential equivalent. • Dog services – If you are going to be gone all day, let us take your pup for his or her own outing while you are gone. Our dog Trip is our only child, so rest assured that we understand how important your pets’ safety is to you. ($30/hour-long walk in the hills.) • Off-road Jeep tour – We have one regular Jeep Rubicon and one specialized Jeep Rubicon that is retrofitted for boulder-crawling. Let us take you on a custom-designed Jeep tour. Whether we take one Jeep or two will depend on the size of your group – up to 3 passengers per Jeep because seatbelts are mandatory at all times. ($80/hour/Jeep - includes gas.)
