Third & Thornrose, Staunton Condominium
Our guests stay upstairs in our 1929 American Foursquare house. Central air; separate entrance, wooden floors. Daily, weekly or monthly rates. Small, fully-equipped kitchen with stove and refrigerator, small dining room. The bathroom has a tub and shower. Television with Netflix. Wifi and off-street parking. Two bedrooms (queen-sized bed, two XL twin beds), living room. Short walk to Gypsy Hill Park, 1 mile to historic downtown (Trolley). Small town, Big Magic! Our house has experienced several incarnations over its lifetime: at one time home to a doctor and his family. He used the downstairs as his office, and his wife and two daughters lived upstairs. At some point in its history, a kitchen and dining room were added to the back of the building. Later, the house became two apartments. We bought the house when it was redesignated a single family home. There's 1,000 sq. feet of living space. The upstairs is fully accessible to guests. We live downstairs, but are usually available by text. We kept the wooden floors, though they are a little squeaky. For us, it's part of the charm of the old home. We love children, but prefer not to have children under five stay overnight. We use scent-free laundry detergent, prohibit smoking in the house, and don't allow pets.
