A perfect escape for up to 4 (1 superking, 2 single beds) in the woods, you can relax under canvas or in your own wood fired soaking tub, watching the birds and wildlife. The gorgeous safari tent has an amazing bathroom with rain shower, a kitchen with induction hob, toaster, stove top kettle and a Nespresso machine. Have a sundowner, feast on the fire pit, observe the stars from the tub and then retire to your Hypnos cashmere bed. Private sauna hire available. The space The Bushel is one of six boutique lodges at The Firs Suffolk — a luxurious, tranquil countryside retreat. Tucked into a peaceful woodland clearing on the edge of the meadow, it's made for families and friends who want nature, comfort and space in equal measure. The Setting Surrounded by charming villages and market towns, with farmers markets, art galleries, and cosy country pubs. The Suffolk coast is just 25 minutes away. Explore Southwold, Aldeburgh, Covehithe, Orford and Dunwich; visit Framlingham Castle, Sutton Hoo and RSPB Minsmere; and eat well at local favourites like Walpole & Watson, The Fox & Goose, The King's Head at Laxfield, and the much-loved Sole Bay Fish & Chips on Southwold quay. Little extras To make your stay even more special, we offer 'little extras’, arranged and paid for in advance, Arrive to a pre-warmed hot tub, hire our Ooni pizza oven brought to your lodge with Sourdough pizzetta made by our local artisan bakery, hire our beautiful Dutch bikes, or book private use of The Piggery Sauna (£50 / 2 hours). End your evenings by toasting marshmallows over your own fire pit for a truly memorable experience. Guest access The lodge is self check-in, for a stress-free arrival any time after 4pm. Full details are sent to you after you book. The Grounds You're welcome across the two acres of woodland and the moat garden — a peaceful walk by the pond. Lodges are well spaced for privacy; we just ask you to respect the space around the neighbouring safari tents. Longer stays We offer flexible 30-day rolling lets — ideal if you're between homes, renovating, or working locally (including Sizewell C). Just ask and we'll sort the details. Good to know We apply a minimum stay on weekends, bank holidays and peak dates; midweek and off-peak nights are more flexible. Other things to note The space is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. It is also a great space for 2 adults.
