Whether you want to kayak, wakeboard, fish or just enjoy the views, the Rock River is the perfect place to do it! 2 Small bedrooms with Queen size beds and a double sized futon in the living room area that can sleep one or two additional people. Upper loft can sleep at least two children comfortably with your own sleeping bags, pillows and blankets. (Caution should be taken as the ladder on the wall is steep and straight up.) Kitchen has a microwave, 2 burner gas stove, apartment size refrigerator with freezer, stocked with silverware, plates, bowls and cookware. The bathroom and shower space is small and built in together but usable space. Living area has a futon, rocking chair and Smart TV with a lighted candelabra placed in a cozy fireplace. Enclosed porch area provides a table for dining and chairs for casual conversation and relaxing out of the elements. Outside is where the fun is, beautiful views of the Rock River, Firepit with outside seating and private dock. We have 2 Kayaks available for a rental request on your stay. Lock box access to cottage. Driveway is shared with adjoining property and is basically split down the middle. Vehicles with trailers can easily fit and other guest vehicles can park in the grass off to the side. Easement road provides privacy for guests to get in and out of the property without the pressure of traffic on the main road. We are as available to you as you’d like us to be. Water heater is small, therefore warm showers last about 6 Min. The good is the reheat time is only about 10 min. -Caution needs to be taken as the hot water is set on a high temp to provide maximum time in the shower. - We are working on upgrading to a different system in the future. There are stairs from the pavement into the river making it easy for anyone who wants to swim to get in and also makes it pretty easy for those that bring kayaks or canoes etc. We recommend life jackets for any children or adults who are not strong swimmers. Water shoes recommended for all.
