La Colonna (up to 8 guests), is one of five completely independent, self-catering apartments that comprise Villa Pecille, a finely restored 17th century Manor House overlooking the spectacular Conca d'Oro valley of Panzano in Chianti. Each apartment is completely independent with its own private outdoor space and barbecue, and shares the swimming pool with the rest of the Villa. The space The Colonna apartment (210mq2) takes its name from the ancient stone column which stands in the centre of the spacious, light-filled living room. A spiral staircase around the central column leads upstairs to two en-suite bedrooms. Two other bedrooms, both with adjacent bathrooms are located in another wing of the apartment. A few steps lead down from the living room into the dining area and fully equipped kitchen with a spectacular panoramic view over the Con d’Oro valley through a picturesque arched window. All of the bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and there are mosquito screens on the windows. During the winter months the apartment is centrally heated, and the cost is included in the rental. La Colonna has its own private outdoor area furnished with dining table and chairs and a barbecue. Guest access The apartment has two entrances, one facing the shared pool area and the other accessed from the internal courtyard of the Villa. The private off-road car parking is just beyond the pool area. 'Villa Pecille' is reached by 300 metres of unpaved farm track which is easily accessible for all cars. Other things to note All the household linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and the heating/air-conditioning and wifi are included in the cost. The apartment rental also includes a light midweek clean as well as the final cleaning. For stays longer than one week the bedroom linen and the towels are changed at the end of each week.
