Herons Reach Fairhaven - Location!

Large daylight basement apartment in Fairhaven. Easy walking to shops, restaurants, Alaska ferry terminal, Amtrak, beaches, trails, and parks. Private driveway and separate entrance. We are a family of four with two dogs, living on the main floor above the apartment. We're early risers (~7am) and you will likely hear us moving around. Well-behaved dogs are welcome; keep them in a kennel if left alone. Please indicate if you will have a pet. Sorry, cats are not allowed. The space Location, Location, Location! Our house has quite the history- at one time it was the "Heron Reach Fairhaven B&B". Following, it was a pottery studio that specialized in using ash from Mount St Helen's from the 1980 volcano eruption. There are still tiles in the back patio made from the ash. Our basement apartment has 2 bedrooms. One has a gas fireplace and room for a floor mattress. The other is the "Hibernation Room", with a single bed and no window. There is also a futon sofa that sleeps 2 in the main room. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker (no oven.) There is one bathroom with shower. We are a three minute neighborhood walk to Historic Fairhaven, where you can eat at a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and visit book stores, artisan boutiques and the Wednesday Farmers Market (summer only). We are one block from the Amtrak train station, Alaska ferry terminal, Greyhound bus station and a local Bellingham bus stop. The local buses run every 15 minutes (during the weekdays) and it is a 15 minute ride to downtown Bellingham. We are a block from the inter-urban trail with access to miles of hiking, running and mountain biking trails. Across the street from our house is the off leash Fairhaven dog park. We are just a 3 minute walk to the Fairhaven Community Boatworks, the waterfront and Marine Park. It's a one hour drive to the Mt. Baker ski resort. WiFi is available. We do not have a T.V. or a stereo. There is a separate entrance and driveway for our guests. Our family lives in the main floor of the house. We have two kids and two dogs. Guest access In addition to your living area, you'll have your own driveway, yard (beside the driveway), and an outdoor table.
