Your lakeside oasis awaits! Known among locals as Bella Vista because of its beautiful views, this charming and historic farmhouse is located in the heart of Findley Lake on bustling Main Street. It is directly across from the town’s restaurant, Alexander’s on the Lake, which pays homage to it’s namesake and founder of this quaint town, Alexander Findley. We can’t wait to welcome you to Bella Vista and historic Findley Lake! This historic lakeside farmhouse, known among locals as Bella Vista (beautiful view), boasts plenty of amenities and large gathering spaces. We've honored the town's history with photos (including the first known photo of Findley Lake!) and maps decorating the walls throughout the house, which was built in 1910. Enjoy prime views of the lake from the large window in the living room. Sit back and enjoy the views, or play games at our game table, or enjoy the wall-mounted smart TV and stream your favorite shows and movies. Here, you can learn more about the historic town through photos and books. The spacious kitchen is a chef and baker’s dream, complete with a gas stove, THREE ovens, a large stainless-steel sink, and a dishwasher. We want this to feel like your home away from home! The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need - roasting and baking dishes, hand mixer, blender, chopper, toaster, and more. If you need it, we have it. While the house is old, this kitchen certainly is not! The dining room is arguably one of our favorite rooms in the house. With the large, gorgeous farmhouse table (that seats up to 12), you'll understand why! There is a bathroom and a first-floor bedroom adjacent to the dining room with a queen-size bed. The large, beautiful French doors sectioning off the living room from the dining room give guests privacy as it converts into a fourth sleeping room with a pull-out couch that can accommodate two guests (in addition to the 8-10 in the three other bedrooms). The two second-story bedrooms each have a queen-size bed and twin bunk beds – perfect for couples traveling with kids! We opted to keep the original wood walls from when this home was built in the early 1900s. Take special notice of the square nails that were used at the time! Enjoy stunning views from the large bedroom windows. There is a second-floor bathroom, as well, complete with everything you need to feel at home. Forgot your shampoo? No problem! We provide hotel-like toiletries. Upon request, we can provide a pack-and-play, toddler cots, and a high chair. All mattresses, box springs, and pillows have waterproof and germ-resistant protectors. On the second floor, cozy up in our reading nook. Grab a book, or sit down, and enjoy your morning coffee (or an evening cocktail!) The bright and cheery sun porch is fully enclosed. Enjoy beautiful views of the lake - rain, sun, or snow! The newly re-built deck is also covered and can be used rain or shine. It is complete with white wooden rocking chairs (and it's our preferred spot for morning coffee!) Outside, there is a patio with a shade overhead to keep you shielded from the sun. The space is complete with lounge furniture, a dining area, a fire pit, and a grill. In front of the house, there is parking space for 3-4. Behind the house is a warehouse-like building with a boutique that we also run -- please come by and check it out! Please note we follow Airbnb guidelines and do not permit events, parties, or the property to be used as an event venue. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. Take a short walk down Main Street and visit all of the shops. With annual Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day celebrations taking place in town right on Main Street, you will be close by to all of the festivities! The property is 5.2 mi. / 8 minutes from popular Peek n' Peak resort, with a host of year-round activities - from skiing and snowboarding to golfing and its adventure/zipline park. Situated at the top of Findley Lake, this farmhouse's unobstructed views are nothing short of spectacular. Enjoy multiple vantage points of the serene lake – from the large window in the living room to the sun porch and deck, to the second-story bedrooms. There is dedicated parking in front of the property and free public parking close by / right in town. The location is prime! Walk across the street to the town restaurant, or a few minutes down the street to visit all of the shops. There is a public boat launch and a newly-built kayak launch right across the street. You may also rent watercraft from Findley Lake Marine, just a few hundred feet away, next to the restaurant.
