This is an isolated holiday home offering extreme privacy, in a quiet setting of stunning natural beauty, while at the same time being within walking distance from the next bay, i.e. the popular beach of Platys Gialos with shops, restaurants & bars, and a marina dock for private yachts. The house is on a 14 acre slope of private land on the sea, with 150 pistachio trees. It offers spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the famous monastery of Chryssopigi. The space Sifnos is a gem of natural beauty and traditional architecture as the whole island, and not just specific places or buildings, are protected by law, as a region of outstanding natural beauty. You can make the most of it through a network of trails (sifnostrailscom). Sifnos has a long tradition in Ceramics, and still has many pottery workshops. It is also famous for its’ gastronomic delights. This is a holiday home built in 1981, partly with stone, and includes: master bedroom with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom and private small veranda, a landing with a workspace and a loft with an extra bed; three double bedrooms (one with a double bed and a single bed, one with a double bed and one with a small double bed), all with access to outdoor sitting area; family bathroom; additional guest WC; spacious well-equipped kitchen; open plan living space including dining area, lounge with a 65’’ LG smart TV, and study - fireplace; When not used otherwise, a semi-basement area is also available offering additional sleeping space for 3 to 7 people, table-tennis and further storage area. Air Conditioning is available in all bedrooms (and in the annex, which also has a ceiling fan), and heating in all spaces. There are also portable fans, portable heaters and a fireplace. In bedroom 4 some room-darkening shades are also available. On the outside of the house, on a lower level, there is this self-contained annex, available for rent separately. It has its own en suite small bathroom, kitchen sink, cooktop with two hobs, a small oven, a refrigerator and a wooden table with extensions. It sleeps 5 people, and has Air Conditioning and a ceiling fan, as well as a 43'' SONY TV (Android TV). It has direct access to the outdoors areas. Outside, the property benefits from front and side verandas and terraces and a back yard, offering protection from sun and wind as necessary. Unfortunately most of the plants in the back yard were recently destroyed. There is also a traditional wood-burning stove. If the photographs are viewed one by one then captions appear, and it is easier to understand what is where. They also include two floor plans. WiFi connectivity and laptop-friendly workspaces are a priority for us, allowing our guests to work from home. Internet speed according to our phone bill is up to 50Mbps, but due to limitations all over the island the actual average speed is at least 21Mbps, which is a solid WiFi speed allowing HD video streaming, as well as seamless teleconferencing, which we do extensively. There are at least two WiFi networks on two routers (one in the main house and one in the annex), plus various extensions, securing a reliable WiFi anytime and everywhere in and around the house. There are also laptop-friendly workspaces in all bedrooms and all communal spaces. For the outdoor areas there are fixed as well as portable tables. Guest access Guests wishing to have maximum privacy and the maximum amount of available beds, can achieve this by renting both the main house and the self-contained annex, which sleeps 5 guests. The co-existence of different groups of guests will be felt mainly in and around veranda 2, and the exterior in front of it, as the annex is right below veranda 2. The house sleeps at least 19 guests if all available spaces, beds and sofas are used, and the annex sleeps another 5 people. Other things to note In February, May, October and late August 2026 I shall need a confirmation from a co-owner before accepting any booking request. In the winter months we may ask guests to cover their own electricity expenses, according to the electricity metre, which is outdoors and accessible. Discounts are available for longer stays.
