Finkle Laithe was built in 1767, converted from a barn in 2000, new bathrooms in 2019, new kitchen, windows and repainted in 2025. Retains many original features including latch doors, oak trusses and lintels. Situated in the tiny hamlet of Matterdale End it is a perfect retreat for couples wishing to stay together or one couple looking for a special destination. Ullswater is within easy reach for steam cruises and water sports. There are great walks from the door and Aira force is close by. The space Rural traditional Lakeland cottage with view of Gobarrow. Guest access Use of full cottage and garden. Owner may occasionally stay in attached (self contained) annexe at weekends. Other things to note The cottage is in Matterdale End about 2 miles from Ullswater. As rural retreat it is not ideal for children and bedrooms are on different floors. There are security cameras on the external walls of the property covering entrance gate / drive, side and patio.
