This walk up apartment is less than a mile from downtown Dearborn which includes tons of restaurants and some shopping. Located in a super cute neighborhood, perfect for evening walks and just 3 blocks from a popular frozen custard shop. We have a large kitchen fully stocked with cooking essentials, a coffee bar, snacks, and two cute seating areas. The living room doubles as a bedroom for two, and the shower has amazing water pressure. Plenty of street parking. NO smoking of any kind. The apartment has tons of natural light, keeps cool with our two window AC units, and nice and warm in the winter with our radiant heat. We also have an electric fireplace/space heater for even further temp control. The radiators are perfect as towel warmers in the winter! You do not have access to the radiant heat thermostat, but message us and we will adjust it to whatever makes you comfortable! We are a mile from the Henry Ford Village and Museum and downtown Dearborn. At the corner there is a bakery, fresh food market, gas station and a frozen custard shop. Kroger, Marshalls, the post office, restaurants, is down the street if you need anything. Summers downtown Dearborn include Friday Farmer's Markets and music & movies in the park. 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from a shopping center (target, tj-max, meijer, old navy, home depot, etc). 20 minutes from downtown Detroit. Two blocks from a local pool where you can get a day pass in the summer. We have a few games and books for your use and a desk if you need to get work done. The kitchen has a coffee bar with ground coffee, syrups, sugar, and cream. We also provide popcorn and an air popper, and basic seasonings for cooking. We include a smart tv with roku, a dvd player for playing the provided dvds, books, and some small kids toys & books. In the kitchen you'll find the essentials and some snacks that vary but often include granola bars, popcorn, tea, coffee. You'll find a fan for white noise in the closet along with extra pillows, sheets and blankets. Whatever you need to have a relaxing, comfortable stay, is provided for you! No smoking on the property. The backyard is private to us. We live in the lower unit and should be available as much or as little as you need. Please let us know if you need anything during your stay. The front door is your private entrance. You might see us walking our dog down the street. We can introduce you if you want to meet her, but she is often very timid of new people for the first few minutes. The backyard is private to us. A few blocks outside of the Ford Historical Homes District makes for perfect evening walks. Two neighborhood parks are within walking distance; one has a small pond, one has a neighborhood pool! An ice cream shop is at the corner and a bakery at the end of our street. Downtown Dearborn is within walking distance (1 mile) but also has plenty of free parking! Bring your bikes! Dearborn has bike stations with repair kits at multiple parks as well as downtown. We are just minutes from I94 and Southfield Freeways so you can get downtown Detroit or Ann Arbor in no time. Michigan Ave is just down the street, and a strait shot to downtown Detroit. Please note that we live in the lower unit with our dog. She is a rescue and has some trauma we are working through. She barks during the day sometimes, and is still learning that sounds are not scary. Overall, she's pretty quiet and usually only barks when she hears you come in or out of the door. (Or when she's playing.) She's a good sleeper and does not bark during sleeping hours.
