Stunning 3 bedroom cottage with pool

Set in the beautiful Charente countryside, our beautiful gite, La Boulangerie, is open and ready to welcome visitors. Part of a 13th century Estate, the property is filled with history. This gîte was originally the bakery for the big Manoir next door. On the land we have horses, goats and chickens, as well as our two friendly cats. We are set between two villages and there are plenty of great places to visit nearby. The gite is spacious and delightfully cool in the summer. The space Our house is a 17th century manoir, however the first building to be built here was in 1296! The Gite is next door and was where the bread for the house was made. Its an amazing property steeped in history. We have a large garden where you can have picnics and explore. We also have horses, goats and chickens who are all friendly. We also have dogs but they have a sepearte garden so will not bother you. If you have children who would like to help feed the animals (adults also welcome) just let us know! Nearby there is plenty to do. We are between two villages and one has a supermarket. We are happy to recommend restaurants and things to do. Canoeing, horse riding and chateaus are just a few things nearby. There is also a beach at the nearby lake in Aubeterre. Guest access We have a very large garden that you are welcome to explore. There is an above ground pool with seating area and bbq that you will share with us. Most of the time you will most likely have it to yourselves. The gite does have an area of garden and parking that is just for your use, but don't be surprised if the chickens or a cat stops by for a visit! We also, now have our little restaurant on site. Serving local wines, cheeses and other light meals. Other things to note Please be aware that we do have animals, so if you are not a fan we probably aren't the place for you. But if you are an animal lover, you will be in heaven!
