The Blue Barn

If you're looking for an experience with your stay, this is it. The Blue barn is over 100 yrs old, built entirely of old growth redwood. It is situated on what we lovingly refer to as "The Farm". It's like walking straight into a much simpler time. The grounds are full of surprises and artful modern day homesteading in action. Check out our Insta @thefarm_mendo The space This property is unique in more ways than words can express. The Blue Barn is an amazingly curated rustic getaway situated on 6 acres of Magic. We think of this land as one giant art project; constantly adding details, additions and love. If you have a larger party please consider renting The The Cedar shack or The Dome in addition. ( both have Queen beds completely private and detached, but does not have a kitchen) We love kids but please note the floors are rustic and the stairs are a bit steep, but the grounds are a dream for little ones.. Swing in the hammock, pick an apple, hangout in the glass house, so many things for you to enjoy about this property. Please note: If you have difficulty with stairs this may not be the best fit as the stairs are narrow and steeper than code. The sauna/shower is a huge treat, please feel free to enjoy it but please keep in mind it is shared by anyone who might be staying at The Farm. We have 2 farm dogs ( Beckett & Billy), 2 goats Mabel & Millie) and about a dozen chickens, important to note we currently have a rooster. Please feel free to explore the whole property but do keep a wide birth around our 2 additional stays, there's plenty of room to roam for ALL. Other things to note We do have wifi, Network is The Farm and passcode is maisy2004 Things you might consider bringing, flip flops for shower and sauna and plenty of layers for ever changing weather. 128 can close due to flooding, there is an alternate route if this is the case but a local map is helpful. We use eco friendly cleaning products as well as provide eco friendly bath products, brand we prefer Public Goods.
