River House at the Comal Rapids

Our house is a private oasis. A sanctuary located on the wing dam of the Comal River, you'll have the chance to experience the river like never before. Swim to Schlitterbahn Water Park, walk to downtown New Braunfels and Landa Park and easily access to MANY more area attractions. This gorgeous half-home is an ideal getaway for your family. QUARANTINE FRIENDLY with a no-contact policy, you and your family or guests will feel safe vacationing here. The space Our cozy half home will sleep 4 people. Beautiful natural light illuminates the master bedroom, which has a stunning view of the Comal River. Prepare your meals in our outdoor kitchen, and enjoy them overlooking the water on a private deck shaded by gorgeous trees. Read a book in the sun on one of our patios and when you get too hot, jump in the river to either cool off or tube down. Our location is super family friendly, as the wing dam creates a wonderful space to play in the shallow water without tubing away. Outdoor fire pit is lovely to sit around at night and roast marshmallows. You have a private entrance so you can come and go at your leisure and totally separate from where we stay. We are quarantine friendly and a wonderful location to visit to get away from it all. Guest access We are a private home in an established neighborhood. You will have half of the house with your own entrances and deck space - a large covered porch connects the two sides and we do live on the other side. Upon reservation confirmation, you'll receive a code to the lockbox with the keys. Other things to note Our large fenced in yard is a great option if you like to travel with your furry friend for an additional fee. We do have a friendly dog on the property. Please inquire directly if you are planning on bringing Fido on vacation as we have a $60 pet fee per night, with a 2 dog maximum. We also have two outdoor cats - please do not bring your dog if they chase kitties. TUBES: While you are welcome to use any tubes or water equipment we have on the property, we do not guarantee we will have tubes for our guests to use. We encourage our guests to bring their own water accessories; kayaks, paddleboards, tubes, tube accessories, snorkels/goggles, mermaid tails, etc. There are many options available on Amazon and nearby stores. We do have a small store and you can purchase tubes at cost from us in the event that you didn't bring anything (and don't want to go to Walmart). **WE HAVE AN AIR PUMP AVAILABLE SO YOU CAN EASILY INFLATE ANYTHING YOU BRING. There are also several tube rentals within walking distance, in the event that you have guests and need additional tubes.
