Combining the Traveler's Suite and the Cottage Room opens the Guest House up to become a two bedroom, two bath house with kitchen, and sitting area with daybed. Ideal lodging for a family, group of friends, or a business group looking for a place to call home for an extended stay. One bedroom features a King Bed with Savvy Rest Serenity 10" layered organic latex mattress and is made up with fine linens. The other bedroom features a California King Bed with Savvy Rest Serenity 10” layered organic latex mattress also made up with fine linens. The day bed turns these rooms into sleeping for five. The two decks offer relaxing outdoor seating and dining next to the peacock enclosure. The space Standing proud on an enormous rock, the Inn’s 26 acres include pristine pastures, unusual farm animals, impeccably kept grounds, and a river-side meadow perfect for outdoor weddings or romantic walks. Sit on the porch and listen to birds’ chorus by day and a truly symphonic blend of frogs after nightfall. Relax with a bottle of local wine and marvel at the glorious sunsets or cozy up to the outdoor fire table and visit under a clear night’s star-filled sky. On hot days cool off in the river’s swimming hole. With 26 acres of river bottom pasture and a six-stall stable, we are uniquely set up to offer bed, breakfast, and board to those traveling with horses. Guest access Common areas of the inn include a comfy library/game room with many books and games for guests to enjoy. The dining room, with five individual tables plus a large family style table, can comfortably seat 22 people. The back deck offers additional seating for breakfast on a sunny morning or a relaxing spot in the afternoon. The fire table, on the lower deck, is surrounded with swivel gliders and Adirondack chairs. The front porch, with rocking chairs and glider benches, offers a relaxing spot with a gorgeous view. During your stay Inn keepers are in residence and available to help at any time. Other things to note Virginia Sales tax of 5.3% and Nelson County Lodging tax of 5% applies to all guest stays. Rates include a freshly prepared full country breakfast each morning. We appreciate 24 hours advance notice to accommodate special dietary needs.
