We are located about 15 minutes from Highlands North Carolina. The town is incridbly charming with a gorgeous main street where you will find plenty of shoping and restaurants as well as many fun events. Ice cream, ice skating, snow tubing, Chinese food, The Bascom art museaum, Highlands playhouse and movie theater, food ranging from fine dining to bbq and pizza there is litereally something for everyone. The drive to get to the house will take you past rolling hills and meadows. The house itself overlooks Blue Valley and Rabun Bald. The Bertram Trail is within walking distance of the house and this trail goes on for miles taking you to rivers, waterfalls, mountain tops etc. If you are interested in golf, Sky Valley golf club is right down the street. You are also about 20 minutes away from stunning Highlands, NC. where there is terrific shopping, food, Macon County's first brewery, Satullah Mountain Brewery. Cashiers, NC. is also about a 35-45 minute drive away and there are even more great and restaurants there to explore. On the Georgia side, in Scaly Mountain in the winter you will find a great tubing place to take the kids. Clayton, Franklin, Otto, and Dillard are all very close and each town has something for everyone. Come explore the mountains, or just sit on our expansive deck and watch the leaves change in autumn. You may even spot a deer or bear. A short 15 minute drive up from Dillard, you pull through the gates of The Moon and The Magician property on a paved drive. Perched at the topmost part of the property our cedar sided clear story home sits overlooking Blue Valley and Rabun Bald. The expansive deck gives guests the opportunity to look out at the view or down over the property from many vantage points. The land bordering ours is national forestry service land and therefor wild and undeveloped meaning you may have a chance encounter with some wildlife!.
