Description

River's Bend Retreat is close to redwood forests, AV wine country, the Mendocino Coast and it's on the Navarro River with multiple access trails. You'll love our camping meadow with room to bring your own tent because of the natural setting, beautiful light of the meadow and shadowy forest, peacefulness, friendly locals. A great destination for individuals on personal retreat, couples, creatives who want time to write or draw, and families in a natural environment. Shared bathrooms & showers. The space The campground meadow includes potable water, sinks, well-maintained outhouses, and hot water showers. There are no designated campsites but plenty of options under trees or open meadow. To support a natural setting, it is NOT possible to drive to your campsite. Camping locations are an easy 2-5 minute walk from the parking space in the campground area. If that space is filled (there are only 3 spaces), then you can unload your vehicle and then drive it back the 2 minute drive to the main River's Bend Parking lot. Each site is not equipped with a fire pit or grill as you might find in formal parks, however, you can bring your own small propane or other gas camp stove and place it on one of our campground picnic tables near your spot. Depending on weather and other conditions, there is one campfire pit in the meadow that may be used with pre-arrangement with Host before July 1 and after October. Campers must bring lockable food storage or keep food in their cars. There is no electricity or plug-ins in the campground area. Solar lamps are near the outhouses. Bring your flashlights and unplug from devices to enjoy the stars!! We limit the number of individual campers, so this space will not be inundated with people. Guest access Guests can access the river and a trail through the woods near the campground area. Closer to other main buildings onsite, there is also a large swimming hole (the "Bend") that is accessed via moderately steep, but short, trail. Other things to note River’s Bend is Self-Certified with the County Of Mendocino which Requires Staff Training, Guest Education and Cleaning Protocols Conforming to State and County Guidelines for Covid19 Safety. Our priority is the health and safety of our guests and team members. COVID-19 has changed every facet of our world and the way we do business. We’re taking important steps to demonstrate you can Count on Us! We have implemented many new safety protocols for the wellbeing of everyone who comes to River's Bend Retreat Center. We will do our part to welcome you safely to our property. We ask you to do your part by committing to some small but important changes..
