Cosy Fjord-View Cabin Near Oslo

Our charming and rustic cabin is the most romantic place to stay for a weekend and perfect for small families too. The cabin is at the end of our big garden with its own deck and tall windows overlooking Oslo Fjord. Located just outside Oslo on the Nesodden Peninsular, there is a great bus service to the local shops and Oslo and its airports are served by Norway’s first electric passenger ferry! #fjordviewspro The space It’s very romantic and back-to-basics. Just one open plan space with mini kitchen and living room. The bathroom is fitted with a Cinderella toilet (electric marvel of the modern age) and a sink with bottled water on tap but no shower or bath. When it’s not winter there is a sink out in the porch where you can wash dishes. The double bed is up on the cosy mezzanine where snuggling up in a thunder storm will really ease the soul! The single bed is in the main living area. We can provide clean bedsheets and towels at a extra charge and the cabin is stocked with cosy blankets, cushions and slippers. Note: There is no running water in the cabin so washing-up is done using water from a tank. If you need a shower during your stay please call us and you can use the shower in the main house when we are home. There are no shops within walking distance so avoid a bus-ride and come stocked with food! *Sheets/towels are charged at 300nok for 1 bed, 400nok for 2 beds. *Firewood for the fire bowl outside is charged at 150nok. Guest access There is space for 1 car in our driveway. Other things to note To get from Oslo Airport, Gardemoen: We recommend taking the local train and not the Airport Express; it’s cheaper and only makes one additional stop. The train ride takes 26min. Get off at National Theatre station and walk down 6min through central Oslo past the city hall and the Nobels Peace Centre to Aker Brygge docks where you take the ferry to Nesoddtangen. The ferry ride takes 26min. When you arrive on the Mesodden peninsular, busses will be waiting. Take a 25min bus ride on the 575 towards Fagerstrand and get off at Søndre Spro. Our driveway is 5 metres further on.
