Welcome to our yurt-The Fireweed. Nestled in beautiful Port Rexton, our yurt puts you close to nature, much like a tent, but with a more comfortable stay and an amazing view of the night sky through the toono! We are within walking distance to the Skerwink Trail, Port Rexton Brewery, Two Whales Cafe and Fisher's Loft. Our location is perfect for exploring and discovering all the Bonavista Peninsula has to offer including hiking trails, boat tours, puffin viewing and amazing breathtaking scenery. The space The yurt offers a comfy queen sized bed and a cozy seating area with two chairs and a side table. The kitchenette area has an eating bar, a fridge, microwave, Keurig, toaster, pots/pans, dishes, glassware and utensils. We have a BBQ with a side burner and can provide a Coleman propane stove upon request. There is a private three piece bathroom located a short walk from the yurt (toilet, sink and shower) and for overnight use we have a bathroom on the yurt deck with a portable toilet and sink. So as you can enjoy a relaxing stay we offer: - a complimentary hot cooked breakfast each morning of your stay - complimentary, made from scratch wood fired pizzas for one night of your stay (details to be discussed when you arrive). ***NOTE: Certain dietary restrictions/allergies may not be able to be accommodated. - We also do your dishes! Leave your dirty dishes and we will deliver them clean back to the yurt! - We also offer a ride service to restaurants in the area. (Some restrictions apply). After a day of hiking and adventure you can spend the evening relaxing in your private hot tub or the wood fired sauna, enjoying the propane fire table or making s’mores over an open fire. Other things to note Suitability: Our yurt is ONLY suitable for a couple. Linens & Bedding: -Guests are to use linens that are provided, NO outside linens are permitted. Hot Tub and Wood Fired Sauna: - There is a charge of $57.50 (tax included) per stay for use of both or $34.50 (tax included) if you choose to use just one, towels are provided. Please inform us when booking if you plan to use these amenities. Tandem Bike: - We have a Trek Tandem mountain bike and helmets available for our guests to use to explore the trails and surrounding communities. Pet Policy: -Your pets are welcome, however, the host must be given notice that you plan to bring along your pet. -Pets are restricted to domestic dogs and cats. -There is a pet fee of $35.00 -Leaving pets unattended in the yurt is prohibited, unless they are in a kennel. -Pets must have their own beds and are not allowed on the furniture or guest bed. -Owners are responsible for any damages that may be caused by your pets. -Guests are responsible for cleaning up dog waste and disposing of bags in garbage box. -Any evidence of pet soiling/damage that requires extra cleaning in the yurt may incur extra cleaning fee or replacement fee. Smoking: There is no smoking allowed in the yurt. Smoking is only allowed outside and all cigarette butts must be disposed of in the ashtray provided.
