Hilltop Hideaway is our vacation home in the woods overlooking Lake of the Arbuckles. The house has a large double deck with beautiful views and is in a prime location only a mile from The Point at Lake of the Arbuckles. You'll be minutes from the boat ramp, hiking and swimming at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, the Chickasaw Cultural Center, Veterans Lake and much more. Turner Falls is also only 25 minutes away. Perfect for a romantic getaway or weekend with friends! Hilltop Hideaway is beautifully furnished and provides a great home base for exploring the Arbuckles region or for getting some rest and relaxation. The two-story house has two living areas, each with its own deck. Enjoy lounging and dining on the large downstairs deck. The swing chairs provide a perfect spot for enjoying the view and a good book. The deck also has propane grill, lounge furniture and a dining table that can expand to seat 8. Or grab a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the lake from the upstairs deck. Picture windows in both living areas allow you to enjoy the trees and the view while indoors, and in the evenings you can cook s'mores and hang out around the firepit. The kitchen has granite countertops and newer appliances, and is well stocked with essential pots and pans, an Instant Pot, a drip coffeemaker, hot pot, serving pieces, plenty of dishes and flatware, and much more. The house has high speed internet, with three 50-55", flat-screen, streaming TVs in both living areas and the master bedroom. A DVD player and DVDs are also available, as well as games, puzzles and books. A full-sized washer and dryer is also available for your use. The house has a large, wooded lot next door and easy parking. Please note that the front door is on the deck, which requires climbing a short set of stairs. The house is not wheelchair accessible. Occupancy is generally limited to up to 6 guests, but up to 8 guests are allowed with an extra nightly fee. No pets please. The space is generally not well-suited to small children due to the nicer furnishings and the high decks--children under 12 may only stay with prior approval and approval will be given only to groups who can assure us that they will take extra care with space and attend to the children. No events or parties. The front door is monitored with a video doorbell. We love sharing this retreat with others and want to make sure you have a fantastic stay. A boat ramp and lake access are only a mile away. The nearby Chickasaw National Recreation Area has miles of perfectly maintained hiking trails, as well as plentiful swimming in the cold mineral springs. Check out the Chickasaw Cultural Center just down the street or spa services at the Artesian Hotel in Sulphur. The house is also conveniently located only 5-10 minutes from Walmart and other services.
