Beautiful Renovated Barn Perfect Catskill Getaway!

(Now with high speed internet!!) Set on over 50 acres, bordering a thousand acres of state land, this renovated barn is the perfect setting for a country getaway! Get away from the stress of everyday life and relax in this quiet country retreat. An opportunity to enjoy a hike in nature, read a book, relax by the wood stove, or watch the cranes on the pond. If you’re looking for a peaceful country setting within 30 minutes of some of the best Hudson valley has to offer, you’ve found it! The space Guests will stay in a 1000+ squarefoot renovated barn complete with rustic charm including wide plank floors, solid wood walls, and a wood stove. Barn includes a private deck and fire pit area to enjoy the outdoors. Also has full bathroom and kitchen, electricity, and running water. Access to parts of the property including the pond. The barn is situated 100 feet from the main house but feels secluded given the private deck that faces toward a beautiful meadow. Deck amenities include a propane grill, Bluetooth speakers, a table, and lounge chairs. Firepit area includes chairs, built in firepit, and tables. Some wood is provided but additional wood can be purchased in town at Stewart’s or shop rite. We recommend bringing plenty of wood if you plan to use the firepit area. Come enjoy the wildlife viewing on the pond, including turtles, ducks, a beaver, and even a crane! The property is perfect for bird watching as we have many different varieties of birds including owls, hawks, robins, blue jays, and hummingbirds. Please note we now have WiFi/high speed internet! There is a smart television, DVD player, and large selection of dvds available for you to watch (or bring your own favorites!) Cell service is also very limited. Sometimes texting works and you may be able to make calls standing in the driveway but data does not work out here most of the time. Wifi calling should work! Guest access Guests have access to the barn, lawn, pond, private deck, and firepit area. Other things to note We do not charge a cleaning free so we do appreciate guests leaving the place tidy when they depart.
