Secluded between palm trees this amazing house is located on an island in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. There is a main house with two bedrooms underneath and a main room in a separate bungalow. The house is sustainably built and powered by the sun. The space This is an amazing house on an island in Paraty environmentally built with recycled materials. It contains several nautical memorabilia items collected all over the world over the course of many years. The house is completely private, hidden away between palm trees and a huge Jacá tree. Guest access The whole house is available for guests. Other things to note This is an island with no electricity so solar power was installed. The system was designed to support lighting, ventilation, a refrigerator and a television. In case more energy is needed (hairdryers, clothes ironing, and other high consumption utensils), a generator is available on premises for the cost of fuel to run it. All showers are gas heated. Water (21,000 leters) is available on the island, from springs and retained rain water to conserve natural resources.
