Butter Road House, Ballyrisode

Our coastal bungalow is ideal for those seeking a quieter pace of life in rural West Cork and the perfect spot to enjoy sunny days and starry nights. Just a kilometre from Ballyrisode beach and 12km to Barleycove, this is the perfect setting for families looking to while away days on blissful beaches or walkers to explore the Mizen Head, Sheeps Head or the Beara Peninsula. An excellent base for touring West Cork's Wild Atlantic Way and a comfortable home to return to after a day of adventures. The space The house is a 4 bedroom bungalow, with through living, dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen is well equipped for you to prepare and serve meals with a good range of cooking utensils, cutlery, dinnerware and glasses. We supply a small range of cooking oils, herbs and spices in a store cupboard which you are welcome to use. There is a selection of teas, including Barry's Tea, Pukka herbal teas as well as coffee and fresh milk and butter in the fridge on arrival. The bathroom has a bath with a shower in it and there is an additional separate WC. At the rear is a sizeable conservatory and plenty of space for parking cars at the front. A welcome breakfast is provided for the first morning and there is a starter bundle of logs for the wood burning stove. Donagh is an artist and a number of his paintings and oil sketches depicting local scenes are hung in the bungalow. Guest access All space is available to guests apart from the garage. Other things to note There is no WiFi or TV at Butter Road House so you can enjoy a complete digital detox, although 3G and mobile phone signals are good. We are keen to be as environmentally conscious as we can be, which means we avoid plastic as much as possible. We would very much appreciate your co-operation in separating your refuse in the bins provided, so we can recycle responsibly for you. Being dog lovers ourselves, we're happy for you to bring your dog on holiday with you, but please let us know in advance. Also, be aware that whilst the house is well set back, it is on a road and the garden is not secure.
