Creekside Cabin w/ hot tub, near Illinois River

Aww! Let it all go! -Soak under the stars in relaxing BullFrog hot tub. -Relax on the deck in adirondack chairs, by a crackling fire in a smokeless Tiki firepit. Just you, the woods, and softly singing water. And birds. Aw, the birds! -Tip back in a comfy reclining loveseat; watch the wonder through the patio doors. -Follow woodland trail to a secluded bench and table by the stream. Note: Driveway is rough and steep. No motorcycles. The space Sip your morning coffee with the woods just outside your window, or relaxing on the deck beside the creek. At night, listen to spring peepers and owls, in the flickering warmth of a wood fire on the deck, or an electric fireplace inside. Just you and the squirrels and birds, the watercress and wind, and the great old sycamores. Roast your supper over the firepit or on the new Weber propane grill. Propane is provided. Firewood for the Tiki firepit, or to use in the fire ring beside the creek, is available here for ten dollars a bundle. (To keep from introducing diseases from other places, we ask that you don't bring wood from other places.) Feel free to scavenge dead and fallen wood from the woods. Firestarter is available for a fee, or you may bring your own. Also, from spring to fall, bring bug spray if you want to walk the trail to the creek. Ticks are a way of life in the Ozarks. Much of the year, pristine watercress is available in the springfed creek. Step back to simpler times! Our cabin has no television, and no wifi. Relax, and enjoy! Guest access Parking is at your door. Guests are welcome to walk the trails and lanes on our 100 acre property. If you are uncomfortable driving a rough,steep Ozark driveway, consider booking elsewhere. Please do not attempt to come on a motorcycle. Thank you. This is our home, so you may hear work vehicles come and go, or the farm tractor occasionally.
