A place on Ruby Street
Description
A private bedroom (or two! or three!!) in a house in a quiet residential area in a great part of Beaverton and about 20-25 minute drive to downtown Portland. Five minute walk to a grocery store. Very close to lots of shops, restaurants, running/walking trails. Three guest bedrooms upstairs (one with queen size bed, the other two have full size beds), private bathroom. Large, partially covered deck. The space You can have one, two bedrooms or three bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed. The other two bedrooms have full size beds with a pretty new comfortable mattresses. There are also three couches downstairs in case extra sleeping places are needed. I am out a lot, so most of the time the whole house will be at your disposal. You are always welcome to use the whole house with the exception of my bedroom - living room with the tv (local channels, netflix, amazon prime, an hdmi cable to connect to your laptop), the kitchen (please feel free to help yourself with tea, coffee, cereal, fruits, yogurt, etc.), the family room with gas fire place (you can stream your music via blue tooth to speakers there), a huge, partially covered deck (you can hide from the rain or enjoy the sun, depending on the weather), etc. Guest access The front door has an electronic lock. I will let you know the combination before your arrival. So you won't need me to enter. During your stay Much of the time I will probably be either out or in my bedroom working on a computer. Even though I live in the house, I'd like you to feel comfortable using it, so I'll try to be out of your way. But I'd be happy to talk and share with you everything I know about the area. I've been living here for more than twenty years now, and I really like the city and the surrounding area. If you are new to Portland area, I could probably give you all kinds of pointers about all kinds of things. Also, I work nearby, so if there is any problem that you may need help with, I can be at the house within twenty minutes or so. And I can be in easy contact with you by phone, texting or e-mail. Other things to note What else ... Marti is covered in "House Rules", please read! The house does not have air conditioning. Usually, with Oregon climate, it's not a problem, but occasionally there are a few summer days in July/August when it does get hot. If you are an adventurous type, you can sleep on the deck (looking at the starts or under roof) or camp out in the back yard:) Also, if you have an extra person in your party that would not fit into bedrooms, potentially he/she can sleep downstairs on one of the couches for a little extra person. Absolutely no smoking. Not inside, not anywhere close to the house. Thanks.
