The main living area is home to a 72 inch glass covered dining room table, perfect for both dining or as a spacious uncluttered work space. The Loft is located behind the main house where we live. Dedicated parking is available in the alley. The gate entrance to the property is shared but both the entrance to the grounds and the front door of the Loft have convenient keyless entries. The Loft is a completely separate home from ours. The Yard and pool are shared spaces. We are long time residents of Austin and can provide you with lots of great suggestions for restaurants, bars, and music venues. We travel extensively and often not on the grounds. When home we do our best to give you total privacy and when gone, are always only a phone call away. The apartment is in hip Central East Austin. It's 2 miles from the 6th and Congress neighborhood and the state capitol. East Austin offers an urban experience without being in the heart of downtown. There is a dedicated parking space for our guests but having a car is not completely necessary. Rideshares are plentiful--usually less than a 5 min wait, and about $6-$7 on average for a ride downtown. City bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the house. There are lots of things to walk to within 10 minutes of the apartment, such as Cultivo, a restaurant just a few doors down. About 2 blocks away is a convenience store. In addition, there are several bars, a coffee, shop, and a couple. of food trailers at 12th and Chicon. Additional food and bar options about a 10 minute walk at MLK and Chicon. And about 10-12 blocks away is Manor Road, with dozens of restaurants. This property is not appropriate for those who don’t like or are allergic to cats. There are 4 cats that live on the grounds. They are very friendly and may pay you a visit during your stay. Feel free to love on them but know they are all well fed and taken care of!
