The Bevilacqua family originates from the town of Ala in the province of Trento, as evidenced by the design of a wing in the center of the coat of arms. A skilled timber merchant, Guglielmo Bevilacqua, at the court of Can Grande Mastino della Scala, had consolidated his economic passion within the Scaliger city of Verona, so much so that he received regular investiture as Vassallo del vescovo.
