Description
Welcome to your stay in Swan Cottage in the historic High Street of the Village of Swavesey to the West of Cambridge just off the A14. A two bedroom house sleeping a family of four. Strictly no smoking in entire house and garden Animals yes but not allowed upstairs. We feel the house is only suitable for children over six and grownups who can manage stairs easily on their own. The stairs have a turn at the lower step and the treads taper to one side. We do not have child gates fitted. The space Guests can use the whole house and garden. The entrance is directly from the pavement via the front door down two steps into the living room. It is a house built in the nineteenth century and the road level has built up since the days of horses and carts and dirt roads. The living room and dining area lead directly to a modern kitchen. There is a small private garden to the rear. The stairs lead from the dining area up to the first floor with the main bed room with a double bed with the bathroom nest door. A corridor off the landing leads to the upper floor to the second bedroom with two single beds. Guest access There is free parking on the road opposite as well as the nearby old market square. There is a local bus service with bus stops nearby and a frequent express bus service to Cambridge and St Ives on the guided bus way a five minute walk away. Other things to note If you have bicycles you will have to carry them through the house to the back garden. The only right of way through the neighbours garden is to put out the wheelie bins to the lane for emptying on Thursdays.
