Other things to note The dome sits at 2,800 feet elevation with paved roads leading up, except for the last quarter mile on gravel. This stretch includes a moderately steep hill. Most smaller or low clearance vehicles like Teslas and Elantras have made the drive without issues, but a larger vehicle is preferable. A 4x4 vehicle is required in snowy conditions.
