Cozy Log Cabin in the Woods

Scenic, cozy log cabin set back in the woods. Fully furnished & decorated. Full kitchen, 1.5 bath, washer/dryer. 1 bedroom w/full & twin bed. 1 room w/full bed. 2 twin XL cots available. See pictures for bed dimensions. Handicap accessible, Desk area, Wifi, NO landline, good verizon signal,Roku tv, Heat & AC. Pets allowed. Owner lives above garage. Dogs live on property. Hens and roosters, are housed near the cabin, they can make noise day and night. Large front porch. Bring your slippers. :-) The space Smoke/CO detector & fire extinguisher, first aid kit on site. Outdoor Features: Set back from the road. There is a fully covered & lit front porch with seating. Stairs or ramp access to the cabin. During the warmer season, the groomed gardens become ripe, & fruiting vines crawl up the trellis on the front porch. Feel welcome to help yourself to some fresh berries during your stay. There is also a small covered / lit back porch, with small fenced-in area. Indoors: Hardwood floors & carpeting throughout, with some tile & vinyl surfaces. Master bedroom has queen size bed, with linens & extra warm blankets, ceiling fan, plenty of closet space, & attached Half Bath (vanity, sink, toilet, exhaust fan) & Washer / Dryer room. Ironing board & iron/steamer combo available for guests. The second bedroom features twin and full-size beds, bedside bureau & lamp, a desk with chair, closet, well-lit space with ceiling fans. There are 2 fold-out cots, available on request, with twin mattresses for additional beds. Full bath (in hallway) with shower. (a Handicap shower seat is available by request). Towels, shampoo/conditioner, and soap are provided. Nightlight, vanity, exhaust fan, hair dryer, and heated toilet seat. You'll enjoy the natural light & tall ceilings in the living room (2 recliners & a love seat, Roku tv, Wifi, ceiling fan) with attached open kitchen / dining area. There is a full-size electric oven, microwave, toaster oven, & coffee maker, full-size refrigerator with ice trays. The cabin is stocked with cutting board, cutlery & dishes, sugar, coffee & tea. Lots of countertop space & a dining table sits 4-6 people. The cabin is most comfortable for up to 5 people but can accommodate up to 7. We have provided doggie dishes for our furry friends, a small fenced-in backyard (10'x20') & ramps to make it easy to get in & out. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire first floor of the cabin. This includes the 2 bed rooms and living area, kitchen, dining area, 1.5 bath as listed. The lit front porch with seating is a great place to sit and enjoy (expect bugs). There is a small lit back porch, accessible from inside the cabin, with ramp to small fenced-in lawn area. The basement, garage, garage back yard and all buildings on the property are strictly off-limits. At your request, we can meet with you when you arrive, so that we may help show you around. Other things to note Our cabin is at the end of a long gravel and dirt driveway, sometimes rough and bumpy, set back a ways from the main road. Please take care in the driveway to drive slow and watch for animals crossing. As we are surrounded by woodland, we have lots of wild animals; fox, rabbit, turkey, wild birds ... this is their home too :-) Please let us know if you're bringing your furry friend(s) along, and remember to bring your leash. You may also use the fenced-in yard area that is attached to the back porch of the cabin. Please do not enter the backyard of the garage. We list the cabin as handicap accessible but please read the listing carefully as well as the captions under all the pictures as we have detailed specific areas that may not work for your situation. Please message us if you have any concerns about handicap accessibility before booking. Bring some comfortable slippers. We ask that you remove your shoes once inside the cabin. We understand that some consider a full-size mattress to accommodate only 1 person. In that case, we can only accommodate 5 guests. The 2 available cots are twin XL (40" wide X 78" long) with a 225lb maximum weight limit. The cabin can be a little crowded with 6 or 7 guests, 5 guests are recommended. Please view pictures and keep that in mind. We use pine sol, windex multi-surface disinfectant cleaner to clean the house and Gain original pods for the laundry. We also burn Yankee Candle scented candles in the cabin.
