Description

Villa Kunterbunt is an old cottage recently renovated and located within walking distance to the CBD. I am renting two or three rooms of my house as private rooms - you have your own room, queen size bed, shared kitchen, bathroom and living/dining area. The house is shared with myself and other guests. Interactions with me and guests - one may share a meal or enjoy a glass of wine and good conversations. The house is generally pet friendly. The space Villa Kunterbunt is an old cottage recently renovated and located within walking distance to the CBD. The house has three private bedrooms, two or occasionally all of which I rent out. Wake up and have a nice breakfast on the porch overlooking the city. Central is the dining table with a large skylight providing sun and warmth during the day. During those colder nights, an energy-efficient wood heater makes things cosy and warm (wood is supplied). The bathroom has two showers and a toilet and is equipped with a washing machine. The kitchen comes with a stove and oven, and a counter to socialise while cooking. There is also a veranda suitable for the breakfast, cuppa enjoying the view or to relax in the afternoon. The queen bedroom is the front room onto the porch with a window towards the city also with morning sun. The house is generally pet friendly. There is WIFI to check your email or stay connected with friends and family. Check-in is usually in the afternoon. I am however flexible with check-in time and check out time. You usually can check in even though the room may not yet be ready. In the same way, you may usually be able to leave your luggage after check-out and pick it up later to head to the airport. I still ask you to vacate the room by 10 am so that I can get it ready for the next person. With being flexible I do ask you to let me know about your intentions in advance (not only a few hours) so that I can work around things and provide the best service to you and the next guests. Sustainability My vision for the Villa Kunterbunt is to create a sustainable living space welcoming all people for social interactions and exchange. At the moment I am growing a large number of veggies in my garden and a small flock of chicken provide the occasional egg. Over the next year, I hope to finish the construction of a studio in the back of the property with a Zen garden area and a sauna. The second stage is then building an addition with Building Integrated Solar, providing possibly the option of going off-grid, a large glasshouse kitchen with a vertical garden and undercover garden bed for growing fresh veggies year-round. I buy most of my groceries in bulk at Eumara a few minutes around the corner. There is plenty of breakfast cereal you can serve yourself a nice breakfast, as will be a variety of tea. Other food I would appreciate if you could either replace it with like at Eumara or put some money into the food char. Please let me know regarding any allergies. Your stay at Villa Kunterbunt will help creating this space. Guest access Kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and an oven, sink and fridge. There is also a dehydrator, to lighten the load in the backpack for those great bushwalking trips. The bathroom has two showers and a washing machine. The drying rack is hanging from the ceiling next to the wood heater or you can hang the laundry on the veranda in the front. The Veranda is a nice spot for breacky, lunch or afternoon tea Access to my garden in the back is in the moment limited. During your stay Interactions with my Guests varies and depends on the desire of my guests. I am always keen for a chat and provide you with good suggestion on where to go, eat, or what to do or how to get to … . I am often around in the backyard to water the plants in the garden, feed the chickens and sometimes to do some digging. If I/we are around I am also happy to share a cuppa, a meal or a glass of wine and good conversations. It all depends on you.
