Bethells Magical Retreat! Stunning location!

Stunning beach and bush setting, just a short stroll to both the surf beach and Lake Wainamu. Landscaped gardens and beautful decks with fabulous sea views. Within driving distance of many walks, wineries, wave pools, and only 35mins from downtown Auckland. Stroll from the surf club along the beach and take in the wonder of the wild west coast, the scenery is spectacular! The space Your accomodation provides the gateway to any number of incredible bush and beach walks or simply stay home and soak up the ambience of your bach with its landscaped garden and native flora. If you've got kids then they're going to love boogie boarding down the awesome sand dunes on the edge of Lake Wainamu, there is plenty of safe swimming there too. For the more adventurous take a walk around the lake then cool off in the waterfalls. There's also rock fishing and the well known O' Neils surf beach within walking distance and a 10 minute drive will take you to the Waitakere golf club with its amazing bush backdrop. Through the winter, take one of the many local walks and return home to hot chocolate and a warm fire. Or alternatively, head to Henderson (20 mins drive) where you will find wave pools, movies, shopping, Crystal Mountain (theme park for kids) and other activities. Guest access Guests have the whole house and sleepout. Other things to note There is little to no mobile reception around the Bethells area so make sure all information, directions etc are downloaded or screenshot onto your phone. We have wifi at the bach but the wifi at Bethells is very slow so we generally only really use it for messaging and emails. Buy food and petrol prior to arrival at Bethells as the nearest supermarket is 20 mins away.
