Come for the salty air, stay for the laid-back luxury—and leave with your shoulders that little bit lower. Guest access Please remember you’re staying in a home, not a hotel, and we kindly ask that it’s treated with the same care and respect you’d give your own place. You’ll have the entire house to yourselves, so do make yourselves at home and enjoy everything it has to offer. We hope it’s a space where you can properly relax, unwind and slip into holiday mode. And if you have any questions or need a hand at any point, just give us a shout — we’re always on the end of the phone and very happy to help. Other things to note The house The house comfortably sleeps up to four guests and works beautifully for couples or a small family. If you’re four adults, it may feel a little cosy, so it’s worth bearing that in mind when planning your stay. We do provide a travel cot, highchair and stairgate, but the house isn’t set up as a fully baby-friendly or fully childproofed property, so families with very young children may need to take a little extra care during their stay. This is very much a lived-in seaside home rather than a hotel, and we kindly ask that it’s treated with the same care and respect you’d give your own place. If anything isn’t quite right during your stay, just let us know — we’re always happy to help and will sort things as quickly as we can. The area Camber is a small, laid-back seaside village — and that’s exactly why we love it. Facilities are limited, but what it does have is rather special: one truly spectacular stretch of sandy beach, a cracking local pub, and a wonderful restaurant that punches well above its weight. Life here is slow, spacious and peaceful. Think grassy dunes, big skies, salty sea air and proper switch-off time. Evenings are quiet, nights are dark, and the soundtrack is more wind and waves than traffic. One thing worth knowing if you’re staying with little ones: Camber doesn’t currently have any places to eat that are especially well suited to children under 5. For families with very young children, Rye is usually the better option for meals out, with lots more choice and a wider range of family-friendly spots. If you’re after buzzing nightlife, lots of shops or late-night noise, Camber probably isn’t for you. But if calm, cosy and coastal sounds like your idea of heaven, you’ll feel right at home.
