Treetops Artist Retreat in Brisbane's Karana Downs

Enjoy a gorgeous Bush retreat in a private treetop room in our Artist's Pole Home with access to a luxurious bathroom & rest of the house as you wish. A 2nd room with single bed is also available if booking for 3. Art Studio onsite & walk to Brisbane River Golf Club Karana Downs beside the river, it is a unique place to relax amongst the birds in the Australian Bush. Art materials available & space downstairs to paint or draw, pitch a tent and even make a campfire 🔥. The space This listing is for the Art Room with a Double Bed, Desk and single floor mattress or 2nd spare room if booking for 3. The luxury bathroom is a divine space to spoil yourself with long luxurious bath by candlelight! You are welcome to cook in the main kitchen, store food, toaster, kettle, tea and coffee, microwave, coffee plunger, washing machine, sink and clothes dryer as you wish. Please know these rooms are often used for Art making and workshops and may occassionally have Art materials or works in progress scattered about the space. Guitars, Acupressure Muscle Mats, Weighted Blanket, Yoga mats, sensory items and bean bags are available by request. You are most welcome to book into a a creative art workshop or therapeutic session during your stay too. Just let me know when booking. Karana Downs is located in the safe and quiet side of Brisbane’s bushy Western Suburbs and will require a car to visit. ;) (The Ipswich Trainline suburb listings are approx 15min drive south across the river and Warrago Highway .) Guest access You are welcome to use the deck, BBQ, and TV lounge and downstairs area overlooking the bush, and the fire pit under the stars i...but it's also totally fine if you want to squirrel yourself away up your end of the house, use the kitchenette, soak in the deep bath, sleep, read books, or make art too. There is a working artists studio downstairs, with happy chickens down the back for fresh eggs everyday. We also have 3 kayaks and 1 small canoe if you are keen on an adventure, and feel like exploring the nearby river. During your stay I work from the studio most days, so am often about downstairs. You can always call me for anything. Other things to note This is a creative easy going artist household with a working studio, eclectic art (including respectful nudes) a curious cat and books everywhere. We value conversation and creativity. It’s not going to suit a super neat or conservative person, so please only book if you enjoy a chilled conceptual vibe over perfection!
