We provide moist biodegradable camping towelettes for cleaning and deodorizing your body (or take a dip in the stream) and, of course, there is a port-o-toilet, fire pit and hammocks. “Everything. We are pet friendly with a one-time $35 pet fee (breed restrictions & pre-approval required due to insurance requirements, sorry). We signed the "No Contact Entry Promise." Show up and enjoy without human contact! This is GETAWAY DOME - Literally sitting ON THE CREEK with a 7' privacy wall between the King and bunks. You will park in the parking lot, fill up your cart and walk down manicured trails to your dome (maybe 200 yards?) You will then have 12+ acres, 1200+ feet (1/4 mile) of creek frontage for your family to unplug, recharge and enjoy, currently shared by only one other Dome! Go explore! Go Unplug! No contact entry, directions are provided and a lockbox code! Yes, you should have cell service while on property, but we ask that you simply “unplug from electronics.” Location, location, location! End of the road privacy, 20 minutes to Boone (the epicenter of the High Country) and only 15 minutes to the town of West Jefferson (breweries, restaurants and shopping). We are a 2.5 miles from the Fleetwood NC post office on RAILROAD GRADE ROAD, a super popular road that runs along the New River (if you want to look it up). Glamping Unplugged’s 2nd campground is 12+ acres with over 1/4 mile of creek frontage for fishing, swimming and relaxing. 4x4 required in the winter months when there is snow on the ground! You will park and walk to your dome, it’s not far nor strenuous! From your dome, the creek is maybe 20 feet away!!! We had a previous guest tell us that this dome is NOT family-friendly because their toddler climbed around and fell from the deck so you may also not consider the dome toddler friendly though we wouldn’t consider any structure 10 feet from a creek toddler friendly, plan accordingly to bring kids or not :) Once you reserve, you can request a multi-multi page FAQ sheet to confirm that this experience is right for you!
