Relax on the 5-foot wide king-size bed under the sloping roof of this private double room in Kings Cross. The airy room has a neat corner desk unit for your laptop and its own minimalist shower wet room. To enable you to have the best 5 star experience, you agree to housekeeping services entering your room at the co/Hosts discretion (e.g, changing towels, bedding, bins and other room maintenance like smoke alarms). We don’t provide a DAILY room service. No check ins- 25th, 26th Dec & 1st Jan The space The room private walk in wet room with power rain shower, King size memory foam bed, USB charging points either side of the bed, TV, central heating, fans for summertime, shower gel. It is vital that windows and doors are closed when you leave the house. If you leave a door or window open when you leave the house, we will enter your room to close/lock it to keep the house secure. BAG STORAGE & TRANSPORT LINKS You can check in between 12 noon -12 midnight hours. Check out by 1100am. If you need to store your luggage, there are luggage storage facilities at Kings Cross station & all other mainline stations. If you are flying into Gatwick or Luton, the 'Bedford' train line runs from Brighton to Bedford and back stopping at Gatwick, St Pancras (Kings Cross), and Luton. Unlike the Gatwick Express which goes to Victoria, this train from Gatwick direct to St Pancras is cheaper. If you have an Oyster card or 'contact less' debit card it is even more cheap. From Heathrow, you can take the tube Piccadilly line direct to Kings Cross (about 1.25 hour). You can also take the Heathrow express or a bus to Paddington and then take the Circle Line to Kings Cross. We welcome all guests 18 years & over. Our home is a shared house so, obviously, not wise, correct or proper for children/minors up to the age of 17, to share facilities, including bathroom with adult strangers. This rule is also for the comfort & piece of mind of our other guests. Kings Cross St Pancras is the the station to connect you to all the airports on a direct route without train changes and is about 5 min walk", Sumeet Mahajan, 22nd March 2017 The house is very minimalist in design. The bed is king sized with a memory foam mattress for a perfect nights sleep. There are numerous restaurants nearby but we provide fridge space & microwave for snacks and drinks but not for cooking meals from scratch. There are numerous good value cafes & restaurants nearby. You are also welcome to use the kitchen to make tea and coffee (which is provided). There is a hair dryer, shower gel, hand wash & shampoo. There is a 24hour shop - 2mins walk. It a great location, as an example - Tube journey to Oxford Circus & Tottenham Court Road is 4 mins! or 30 minites walk. Bus journey 21 minutes. British Library 8 minutes walk. We have 24 hour bus service to a bus stop opposite the house. A tube service runs 24hours at the weekend. Also, most galleries and museums in London are free & close by! You can travel all over the UK & Europe from Kings Cross, St Pancras in one day & still be back in time for bed! Paris - 2 hours 16 minutes Brussells - 2 hours 1 minute Gatwick Airport - 48 minutes Luton Airport - 28 minutes Heathrow Airport 48 minutes Cambridge - 46 minutes Brighton - 1 hour 15 minutes York - 2 hours 50 minutes Scotland, Edinburgh 4 hours 20 minutes Guest access Guests have access to the kitchen and to use the fridge. Also the stairs to the room and en suite (private shower room). The house is in a gated mews. Guest interaction Either myself (Christina), Leslie (my partner), or one of our co hosts will be available throughout your stay if you need us, and to offer advice on places to go, along with practical help such as Oyster cards. Neighbourhood overview Kings Cross is the most happening, trendy part of London and we are a buzzing community. Since the Eurostar was relocated here a few years ago, the whole area and the canal has had millions of £'s worth of investment. New theaters, bars, restaurants, shops and homes. Locally, there is lots to do. Camden (20 minutes walk by canal) and Angel (Chapel Market – 5 minutes walk) are very close by with great bars and restaurants too, swimming pool (200m walk along the road), The Canal Museum, St Martins Art College and Kings Place (a concert hall complex with music, comedy, art and drama performances) and Granary Square. The British Library and Francis Crick Institute are 7 minutes walk Getting around You can get everywhere easily from Kings Cross. Numerous tubes, trains, buses, City bikes stand (30 seconds away). The house is in a gated mews and has a bench in the front garden but smoking is not allowed in the house and gardens. During your stay We always love to interact when possible if we have time or when our guests have time. In general we find most guests prefer to do their own thing as they are so busy enjoying Central London Life and having fun. We are available by phone, What's App or text.
